This afternoon I bid on and won a Dialled Bikes MX20R for just under £300 for a complete bike I thought that it was a good deal to be honest! The plan is to ride it as it is for now and then over the winter swap out all of the parts for higher spec race parts like onyx wheels, Yess Reach Forks, DXR cranks etc.

I then plan to build up the pro frame that I bought last month with the parts from this bike and then I can use the pro bike as a park/ ride to work bike as it will have cost me very little to build and therefore I will be less worried about chaining it up outside work all day or leaving it out in the rain.

I am still deciding it I will get the frame re-sprayed as I am not too keen on white bikes but that can wait until the winter anyway so I have time to think about that. I am also not a huge fan of red so I will have to change the wheels and seat clamp at some point too but again I can deal with it for now.

I have also arranged to swap my FTB Cruiser Frame with a friend for his MX24R frame so I will have similar 20″ and 24″ bikes so that they should feel the same if I double bike going forwards.

I had to go and pick the bike up this evening so I picked up my Son and we went on a bit of a road trip up the M5, picked up the bike and then headed home with my new prized possession.

I rode the bike back to the car from the old owners house and it just felt right straight away so I think that I am going to really enjoy riding it. There are a couple of things that I want to change already which are the stem and the grips (I have both in the parts bin at home already so they will cost me nothing!), but apart from that everything else if fine for me to use at the moment. I was planning to race the 20″ at Bristol on Wednesday night but I was reminded by my brother that he is borrowing my car so that plan has gone out of the window!

As tomorrow is a rest day from Racing the Nationals rds 3 and 4 at Gosport this weekend I can spend all day tomorrow messing with the 20″ to get it right to ride for the next couple of months until I strip it down and rebuild it! I also have to strip my FTB Cruiser frame down too as I am going to meet my friend either Monday or Tuesday night to swap frames, so I will have a busy bike building/ stripping day tomorrow after getting a good nights sleep to help with the recovery!
