Yesterday I had a rest day as I wasn’t feeling 100% so all I did was ride to the office and back in the morning then at about 17:30 I walked back to the office to do some work and then walked home again when done so I got 11000 steps in for the day which was good! I would have got more steps except my FitBit was out of battery so it was on charge all evening so I did more than the 11000 steps all in as I walked around a lot while I was on call as I did a lot of cooking and cleaning so I think I did at least another 1000 steps if not more!
Weight wise I was 102.4kgs Yesterday (Monday) and I am 102.2kgs this morning so still not under 102kgs yet but my weight is at least starting to come down again! I need to start eating properly again as I am eating a lot of potatoes and dark chocolate at the moment so I need to go full Carnivore again from pay day on Thursday to start kick starting the weight loss again!
According to the FitBit app I have lost 5.1kgs this year and I have 17.2 kgs left to lose to get to my goal weight of 85kgs so I am basically 30% of the way to achieving my weight loss goal of 22.3 kgs in just 4 weeks! I also only 2.3 kgs away from reaching my first weight loss goal of getting under 100kgs so hopefully I can reach that target by the start of September if I keep on track with my current rate of weight loss! I think once I start to exercise more regularly and commit to 3 days a week in the gym and go back to a fully carnivore diet again the weight should start to drop off again and I should get my first weight goal ticked off pretty easily!
I have been feeling a bit off all weekend and I am still not feeling right today so I decided not to go to the gym this morning and I will do Wed, Thurs and Friday this week (Legs, Upper Body, Legs) to start getting consistent with my weight training still as long as I am feeling better that is! If not I may have to take the week off and start the gym again next week! Tuesday Mornings are difficult as I finish on call later so its hard to get up so I may just focus on going Wed-Friday for now at least!
Not going to the gym on Tuesday’s means that I can sleep in on a Tuesday morning after being on call and then get an early night Tuesday night ready yto get up early on Wednesday morning and hit the gym refreshed and ready to go instead of forcing it and getting up early on a Tuesday morning after getting to bed later and then not really working out properly and being tired all day Tuesday! Taking Tuesday morning mean that I can sleep in and be rearing to go on the bike on Tuesday afternoon and get some quality riding in instead of being tired and not putting much effort in as I’m tired!
I also really need to focus on getting my 10000 steps a day in as well as at the weekends I am pretty much sedentary other than riding bikes a bit which is far from ideal and is leading to my back stiffening and hurting again which in turn messes with my knee as well and then its just a vicious cycle really and walking is such an easy fix! For example this weekend I did 2031 steps on Saturday and 4371 steps on Sunday as I did some shopping and went to the track to pick something up but other than that I was in bed watching TV! Add to that that on Friday I only managed 1797 steps as well it really explains the reason why my knee hurt yesterday! Also today my knee is feeling much better after I walked over 11000 steps yesterday so I have proven to myself yet again the importance of walking 10000 steps a day for me to feel good!
I think that I need to start getting back in the habit of walking as soon as I finish work at 4pm for an hour to make sure that I get my 10000 steps in before I lunch out in front of the TV then it is done and I can relax once my cleaning 30 minutes is done!
So basically from today onwards I will do the following:
4pm-5pm – Walk
5pm-5:30pm – Cleaning half hour
5:30-6:30 – Learning hour
6:30-9:30 – Free time
9:30 – sleep
So basically even doing an hour of walking, 30 minutes of cleaning and an hour of learning I am still totally free from 6:30-9:30 to lunch out and watch TV so still plenty of time 🙂
