Weigh in and Sunday Wave C finally built up.

This morning I woke up feeling surprisingly good considering I raced 9 races yesterday 🙂 I guess that the pineapple helped to ease the soreness in my muscles.

When I got up I went to the bathroom and did my weekly weigh in and was surprised to see that I was the heaviest that I have been this month. I was heavier than this last month but sill I put on 1.3kgs this week:

28/03/2022 109.4
03/04/2022 108.3
04/04/2022 108.1
11/04/2022 108.5
19/04/2022 107.4
25/04/2022 108.7

I was a bit worried about this until I looked at my legs and noticed that they are way bigger and more defined than they have been for ages! So I guess a lot of the weight is extra muscle. Looking at the pictures from yesterday I definately need to start riding the road bike and hitting the gym to lose some weight and add more muscle before the Worlds as I am still a very long way from being in any kind of race shape.

After I got ready for work I realised that I don’t actually have a working bike to ride to work as my Sunday is missing a chain and my Octane one Zircus is missing a sprocket and chain ring 🙁

I had also left my 20″ in the container at the track to free up some room at home and make sure that I have a bike at the track if needed! This meant that the only working bike I had was my S&M Steel Panther race cruiser so I stuck the cooldown post on it and rode it to work. I was surprised how easy the ride to work was after racing yesterday and apart from the tyres being super hard making the ride a bit uncomfortable it was all good. The ride home was a little less chilled as it is more up hill and hurt a lot more both from a sore body and a difficulty point of view but I made it home so it was all good!

I decided to buy a cheap bench vice from Amazon to see if I can remove the sprocket from the Halo driver with the vice. I also bought some soft jaws to make sure that I didn’t break the expensive Halo driver tool too. They will be here tomorrow so I will see if I can get the sprocket off after they arrive!

Apart from riding to and from work I didn’t do any other exercise today to make sure that I rested ready to start training again tomorrow. As I have pretty much sold my Chase cruiser and the Jump frame if the sprocket does not come off I will buy another driver and keep this one as a spare then I can get the bike working to ride to work and play at the track with 🙂

This evening I have put a chain on the Sunday and dialled it in and checked all the bolts are tight so it is now ready to ride to work. I have to remember to ride more slowly as the bike is brakeless but it should be ok until the jump bike is ready:

I am going to ride the Sunday Wave C to work tomorrow to see how I go with it being brakeless but once the jump bike is sorted I think I will most likely sell it to start getting money ready for the Worlds as I am starting to get worried about how I am going to pay for the trip 🙁

I also need to get the 4x frame and the Speedco Frame on the internet to sell to start getting my credit card debt down so that I can use it to pay for the Curtis Build and the trip to the Worlds.

I have decided that I am going to not race 20″ at regionals and only do the minimum 5 regionals required to qualify for the brits on the cruiser. I have already done 3 rounds so the last 2 will be Peckham and Bournemouth to practice for the Peckham National and the Brits at Bournemouth.

I am planning to do the rest of the Nationals to try and get my ranking up to a point where I may have a chance of qualifying for the Worlds last year although the qualifying criteria still hasn’t been given so that may or may not be possible.
