Weigh-in and Changing training a bit

I woke up before my alarm this morning and got up and did my weigh-in and I was surprised to see that I am back up to 106.1kgs today. At least I have a baseline for the start of my new training I suppose and I have room to lose weight as I was 105.1kgs last week 🙂

When I started moving I realised that there was no way i could do sprints properly this morning as I was still hurting from last weeks riding! I decided to go out for a walk instead and revise my training again so that I have Sunday and Monday as rest days and I work out Tues-Sat instead.

I am going to work it into my weekly routine as follows:

DAY Exercise AM Exercise Lunch Exercise PM
Monday 2 Tunnels mtb Rest Track (Full Track Pump laps)
Tuesday Strength Sprints Track (Manuals) Weights
Wednesday  2 Tunnels mtb Track (Jumping) Rest (Working)
Thursday Speed Sprints Track (Jumping) Weights
Friday 2 Tunnels mtb Rest Gates
Saturday Power Sprints Pump Track Rest
Sunday Rest Rest Rest

On my walk this morning I went to my sprint spot and found that the flat path wasn’t actually flat at all but undulating so it will not be any good for flat sprints unfortunately so I will have to find somewhere else to do my Power sprints. At the moment I am thinking that the track carpark is the best option for this as it is flat and has no traffic early in the morning. The only issue is that there are a lot of clueless dog walkers who seem to walk exactly where I am doing sprints without actually noticing that I am there. They also seem to enjoy moving my distance markers as well again without thinking that the man at the other end of the carpark on a BMX looking at them may be using them! Still its flat, open and has enough space to warm up and enough room for run off after the sprint and to ride around to recover between sprints too.

Apart from that I fell much better  after the walk. Way less sore and wide awake so I am now getting ready for work then I will head into the office and get on with my day!
