Weigh-in after a chilled weekend BMXing

Over the weekend we got up early and went to Exeter Eagles for their Saturday gates session which was really good apart from my Son getting his thumb caught between a railing and his handlebar and getting a severely bruised thumb and having to stop riding! And on Sunday I went up to Bath BMX and opened up for gates but didn’t have to set up the gate as only a few people showed up as there was a regional at Tiverton.

We have decided that we are going to swap gates back to Saturdays as we have training sessions running from 9-12:30 so it makes sense to run gates after the training as the gate will already be set up and also people will already be there from the training.

This morning I woke up and did my weigh in and was annoyed to find that my weight has crept back up to 104.4kgs! To be honest that is not entirely unexpected as I have been really inactive over the past week or so and have not been walking or riding the bike at all!

I woke up feeling rough again this morning so I went back to sleep after my weigh-in instead of going out and doing sprints as planned! I will do skipping, manuals and sprints tomorrow morning to make up for it.

I am thinking that it would be more beneficial to replace my manual training in the mornings with hill training to build leg endurance which I am severely lacking!
