Weigh-in

When I woke up this morning I remembered to do my weigh-in before I got dressed and went out for my walk with the dog. I was surprised that I had only dropped 0.1kgs this week even though I have been crushing my steps goals this week due to having the dog with me:

Yesterday I had one of my highest step counts ever due to having to spend all afternoon at the track doing maintenance due to ongoing damage from SurRon’s riding on the track! Still the sun was shining and I met some really nice people and the dog really enjoyed being out all afternoon so it was all good.

I think that although I have not lost a bunch of weight I have burnt a lot of fat and built a fair bit of muscle in my legs from walking up a massive hill every morning so I am not too worried about the lack of weight gain and I will keep on with the walking once the dog goes back to my parents house at the weekend. I have noticed that my shoulders and arms are getting thinner and more defined and my legs are way more muscly and defined so its not been a waste of time. I am also feeling way more relaxed and less stressed this week so its been really worth while.

I have also noticed that I am getting way fitter as after just a couple of days climbing the hill is much easier and I am hardly out of breath when I get to the top now which is way different to the first couple of days when I was blowing out of my arse by half way up!

As the dog is visiting and she does not like being left alone I have not been able to ride much at all this week so next week I need to ride more to try and start building bike skills and learning to jump while I am riding the jump bike. Talking of which I tried to ride the jump bike yesterday and the back wheel is really starting to move again so I need to swap it out for my son’s Airdrop for now so that I can take the DMR home and sort out some chain tensioners for it to stop the wheel moving about when I pedal hard!

As the airdrop is more of a jump bike it may push me to try and jump more too.
