I woke up this morning and did my usual weekly weigh-in and was pleasantly surprised to find that I only gained 0.3 kgs this week even though I have not done much due to feeling really ill. I did still manage to walk most days but I only managed to ride the BMX Saturday morning and even then I took it very easy!

Unfortunately I am still feeling ill which is typical as today is my first day of holiday 🙁

I was planning to get up and go to Patchway this morning to get some full laps in ready for Wednesday night but wen I woke up I was feeling bad still plus it was raining so I decided to go back to sleep and woke up about 10am!!

I had a though this morning that around Wednesday I started drinking Coca Cola again and I didn”t drink it yesterday which would explain why I am feeling so crap today. To test this out I bought a small bottle of Coke and drank it and hey presto I felt much better! My headace and body soreness was pretty much gone although I still don’t feel 100% I feel way better than I did!

Just after midday I had to walk to my Son’s school to drop off his Art folder as he forgot to take it home from my place last night and he had art after lunch today! It was a really nice walk although there was a lot of up hill as his school is on top of a massive hill (it is Bath after all!). I walked for 50 minutes and covered 2.95 miles and was on 6921 Steps when I got home!

So I didn’t make my 10000 step target for the day but I made a sizeable dent in it 🙂

I will have to do a walk later as a warmup before I do my bodyweight training tonight so I will easily be over 10000 steps by the time I go to bed tonight!

As I have the week off I am going to train the following way:

Monday – Light session working on each straight (apart from the first straight as I always ride that!!!).

Tuesday – Rest and then Coaching session at the track in the evening (Will most lightly focus on gates and 1st straight!)

Wednesday – Rest and then race at Patchway in the evening.

Thursday – Light session the same as Monday

Friday – Full laps with full speed straights then pump and carry speed for the rest of the track (1 x 1st straight, 1 x 1st and 2nd, 1 x 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 1 x full lap the repeat 2 more times!)

Saturday – Gates

Sunday – Racing.
