I woke up this morning and felt really tired still so I decided not to walk this morning as I have the afternoon off so I will walk then! I had a busy day yesterday 11831 steps and riding at least 15 miles as well. I finally got out on the Vitus and I really like it. Thanks to Virgin Media being down I had to ride into the office twice yesterday and I also managed to get my Son to go for a bike ride with me as well. We went on the 2 tunnels to the end of the path at the horse riding place and back and we did 10.66 miles in a leisurely 52m 15s and gained 344ft of elevation. We did manage a top speed of 24.5 mph! Well I did my Son was on the ebike and couldn’t keep up 🙂
When I finally got up at about 7:20am I did my weigh-in which was OK. I am up 0.5kgs but due to being sick I have not been intermittent fasting and due to lack of space in my bedroom I have no gym area at the moment!
I am not too worried about this weight gain as I have not had any fizzy drinks since Saturday so I have been drinking a lot more water again so the weight will be water weight. I can feel that a lot of the weight that I have put on is lean muscle as my legs are noticeably bigger and more defined and my trousers are getting tight around the thighs so thats not a bad thing. I am also noticing my ribs poking through now so thats also a positive thing.
I am still not feeling 100% and my sore throat that was gone yesterday is back today so I may have to go to the doctors if it doesn’t get better soon 🙁
I was surprised how I didn’t feel my shoulder at all yesterday while riding so I think that I can now start to do more bike riding to try and get fitter again. Although on all of the rides yesterday I was surprised how easy it felt and how much less out of breath I was compared to last year when I rode so I guess the walking and ebike has really helped me build a base fitness that I didn’t have before!
This afternoon I am thinking that I will go for a walk at to the track after I have eaten something and then have a play on the track on the DMR for a bit then come home and start to attack the bedroom to try and get the gym area clear so that I can start doing weights again in the mornings.
We got the new bed built in the lounge on Monday night and my Son’s desk and computer are all setup so now I need to get the rest of the lounge sorted and finally start organising my flat a bit!
