Weigh-in

weigh-in

Woke up at 5:15 and got up and did my weekly weigh in and I was 0.1kgs heavier at 107.1kgs which is pretty good considering the amount of eating out and beer I had over the weekend 🙂 And the lack of exercise!

I then got dressed and went out for my first morning walk of the year. I was surprised to see how icy it was and my phone was telling me that it was -2 degrees but it wasn’t raining so I was super happy with the weather! I will take cold over wet any day! The walk was going really well until about 1 mile in when my stomach started gurgling and I had to head home in a hurry before I had an accident!! Luckily I got home just in time so it was a good move heading home not walking further away from home as I was going to!

Not the longest walk ever at 26m 31 seconds and 1.57 miles but I felt really good walking with absolutely no aches or pains for once and my breathing was feeling really good too which probably helps. I guess the new pills that I am on for acid reflux are working and the majority of my asthma was caused by the reflux! I did 3331 steps on the walk so I have made quite a dent on my 10000 steps for the day too.

Last night I tried riding the exercise bike while watching tv and lasted 15 minutes before I had to stop as my shoulder was really hurting! Not the start that I was hoping for but its a start none the less! I have decided that I am going to try and ride the bike outside on the 2 tunnels at lunch times to get into the habit of riding every day again then when my shoulder is used to the bike I will start trying to use the smart trainer again! to be honest I have never liked working out indoors so I may sell all of the indoor trainers and just ride outside instead as it is way more enjoyable and I am way more likely to do it than indoor training! I am also really lazy after work so working out at lunch time frees up my evenings to lunch out! I also had to buy some new 6M x 16mm bolts as the bolts in the back roller had been lost when we were moving garages. To get it working I had to take the bolts out of the front roller and use them to secure the rear roller. The rollers worked flawlessly once the rear roller was secured so all good.

I am going to try and get the GT fully built tonight to try and ride the rollers again tonight on the mountain bike as it may be easier to ride at the moment as it puts less pressure on my shoulder.

This morning at 5:21 I got an text from DPD that my PC has been delayed in Carlisle so it will not be here today for sure! So yet again the couriers are charging for next day when they have no intention of delivering it in 24hrs but will deliver in 48hrs!! Its not a big deal as the wifi and bluetooth cards are arriving Thursday anyway so I couldn’t get the smart trainer working until they arrived anyway. Once the Smart trainer is all set up I will get the rollers on the internet to sell as well so that I can get some cash back and also free up some space in the garage. I don’t really enjoy riding on the rollers anyway plus I still have the travel BMX rollers to use if needed.
