So this week I have basically just done my 12000 steps a day again with riding the e-bike to and from the office Monday-Thursday as well. To be honest just getting the steps in has been pretty hard especially over the weekend where I had to do so much walking on the treadmill that it started to melt and go lower (not a joke unfortunately!) This shows that for the rest of the year I need to focus on getting out of bed and walking straight away as I really need to get back into the habbit first thing to make getting to 12000 steps a day easier!

I think that my goal of rucking every day of 2025 will be a lot more challenging than I think that it will be so I will make that my main goal for now and use going to the track at lunch times and using the rollers in the evening as learning new behaviours and building new habits for now as I don’t want to do too much all at once and fail again!

Once I am in the habit of rucking first thing again it will make getting to 12000 steps a day a lot easier and I will have more time to think about using the rollers in the evening as when I don’t walk first thing I spend a good couple of hours getting to my step goal in the evening! For example over the weekend I had only 1000 steps done by 6pm on Saturday and 4000 steps by 6pm Sunday so I had a lot of steps to make up before I could sleep!

I have 9 days left until the new year so I will try and keep doing 12000 steps and build the habit of getting up early and walking first thing so that on the 1st of Jan it is easier to get up and ruck first thing!

Weight wise I started the week at 108.8 kgs and finsihed it at 108.2 kgs so a solid 6 kgs lost overall which is not bad. More importantly I am looking and feeling a lot more toned which means that the lost weight is most likely down to fat loss not muscle loss!
