Steps = 10294 Steps
This morning about 7:30 when it got light I dragged the dog out of bed and took her for a walk around the woods loop as she hadn’t really walked a lot the past couple days due to the weather and nor had I!
After the walk I chilled in the house most of the rest of the day!
By the end of the day I was on 10294 Steps so I finally got over 10k steps for the first time in a week so yay me.
Wednesday 18/02/2026 – New walking pad arrived!
Weight – 107.5 kgΒ
Steps = 12795 Steps
This morning I woke up at 6 am and got ready and rode the ebike into the office and worked in the office until 11:45 then rode back to the flat. I then loaded the car and headed to my parents. When I got to my parents house my walking pad had been delivered π After eating I set the treadmill up and did my first 12-4-30 (12 incline- 4mph for 30 minutes) walk on it. The walk was easier than I thought and I felt so much better afterwards too π At 16:00 I finished work and did another 12-4-30 walk which was way more of a struggle as I hadn’t eaten much all day but I got through it and felt better again for doing it!
I then ate something and then took the dog down the road for a bit of a walk but she kept wanting to go home so we headed back!
I pretty much chilled the rest of the evening. I am planning to get up at 5:00 and do another 12-4-30 to start off my 12-4-30 30 day challenge the right way π
By the end of the day I was super tired but happy and I had walked 12795 steps for the day π
Thursday 19/02/2026 – 12-4-30 Challenge Day 1
Weight = 107 kgs
Steps = 11383 Steps
So I woke up at 5:00 as planned and did my weigh-in and was surprised to see that I was down 0.5 kgs from my last weigh-in to 107.0 kgs which was a good start to the 12-4-30 challenge already π I then got dressed and did my morning 12-4-30 challenge while I did some work and updated my blog etc. I am currently 23 minutes in and I can confidently say that doing the 12-4-30 first thing in the morning and while working makes it much easier and the time has flown by π
Once I finish walking I will get dressed and head to Bath to shower and go into the office for the morning. I have arranged to meet my son at 11:30 and he is going to take me for a drive and then drive me back to my parents house so we can move the shed so I can dig out the base for the new shed at the weekend when the gravel grids arrive.
So when I arrived at my flat I looked at my FitBit app and realised that I had forgotten to stuff my FitBit in my sock so it didn’t count the steps from the treadmill π I was on only 808 steps instead of probably 3000+ steps π
I was thinking on the drive into Bath that I am doing 30 days of 12-4-30 AND doing 12000 steps a day so I will not know how much of the weight loss is due to the 12-4-30 and how much is due to increasing my daily step count to 12000 steps! I have decided that for the next 30 days I will just do 12-4-30 once a day (preferably first thing at 5 am) and then after the 30 days I will add doing 12000 steps a day to the 12-4-30 and see how much more weight that drops π
I have to say that I am feeling the burn in my legs and abs from the 12-4-30 already so that is a good sign and losing 0.5 kgs yesterday is crazy too!
Friday 20/02/2026 – 12-4-30 Challenge Day 2

Steps = 5339 Steps
This morning I woke up without an alarm at 4:45 so I got up and showered and then did some stuff about the house and then headed back to the parents house. I was planning to ride the ebike back but decided that there was not enough time so I took my Son’s car instead. When I got to my parents I did my weigh-in but left my pants on as I have decided to weigh-in with pants on from now on instead of totally naked! I was still 107 kgs so I must have lost the weight of my pants yesterday as they apparently weight about 0.1 kgs π I then got dressed again, put my FitBit in my sock and did my 12-4-30 while watching YouTube videos π I found it harder to not fall when watching moto and bmx videos as all the movement put my balance off for some reason. It was also harder going this morning as my legs and abs were still sore from the last 2 days walking! It also went easier yesterday when I worked and walked as I had to concentrate on what I was doing so the time flew by!
When i had finished the 30 minutes I was able to calculate that the 12-4-30 was roughly 3000 steps so my guess from yesterday was correct and I updated my step count for yesterday and found that I was just under 12000 steps yesterday without counting properly π
I chilled the rest of the day and about 19:00 I drove back to Bath to do some bits and stayed there the night.
By the end of the day I was onΒ 5339 Steps.
Saturday 21/02/2026 – 12-4-30 Challenge Day 3
Weight = 107.2 kgs
Steps = Steps
This morning I woke up without an alarm at about 5:45 without and then chilled on YouTube until 7:30 when I got up and showered and headed back to my Parents house.
When I got to my parents I did my weigh-in and was surprised that I was up to 107.2 kgs from 107.0 kgs yesterday! I am guessing that most of it is added muscle as I am definitely burning fat! My waist and stomach are definitely toning up and as well as my arms. My legs have also got cut too.
After my weigh-in I got dressed again and cracked on with my 12-4-30 for the day. It was a lot easier today so I think that I was more rested and also I was watching non bmx/ moto videos so I wasn’t losing my balance all the time either!
After my 12-4-30 I chilled until about 11:00 then set to work emptying out the shed and organizing ready to make a shed base for my new shed which arrives on Thursday. I then chilled and then ate and then watched netflix until about 16:30 when I went back to bed for a nap and woke up again at abort 18:30 just in time for Tea π
After diner I went back to bed and watched YouTube until about 22:30. While on YouTube I also ordered the chain and grips to finish building my StayStrong Cruiser with the 2.10 PowerBlocks on it to ride for now as I don’t want to ride my Curtis Cruisers in this weather so I will start riding the StayStrong again!
At 22:30 I was on 7146 Steps for the day including the 12-4-30 this morning so not great but not bad either!
