Steps = 3160 Steps
So this morning I slept in until I woke up which was about 6:30 as I was sleeping at my parents house as I was dogie sitting yesterday and my parents got home about 22:00 so I decided to stay. I was not able to weigh-in as they do not have any scales so I chilled in bed until about 8:00 then got up and hoovered and mopped the conservatory/kitchen ad bathrooms and then waited for the floors to dry before putting all the chairs and floor mats back. At about 10:00 I headed home and chilled in bed basically for the rest of the day as I was sore and decided it was best to have a full rest day!
I caught up on films that I hadn’t watched yet which was cool and then at 9:30 went to sleep although I struggled to sleep as it was really hot in the flat!
I also had stomach issues in the evening so I was not sure if I would be training in the morning or not!
As a result of the lazy day I only got 3160 steps in all day 🙁
Monday 18th August 2025
Weight = 103.6 kgs
Steps = 1645 Steps
So when my alarm went off I decided to sleep more as I didn’t think that my stomach was up for exercise at the moment! So I reset my alarm until 6:30 and then had a lie in! At 6:30 I got u and did my weigh-in and I was down to 103.6 kgs which is pretty good considering that I ate really badly again yesterday!!! I then messaged work to say that I wouldn’t be in today and that I was working from home instead! I then started working.
All the time that I have been awake this morning I have noticed that my stomach is gurgling and making noises so it is clearly not in a good way still!
I worked for the rest of the day until 22:00 so I only managed to get 1645 steps in all day 🙁
Tuesday 19th August 2025
Weight = 104.5 kgs
Steps = 3199 Steps
I was off work today as I was on call Friday night and last night so I had a lie in but I still woke up at 5:15 so I guess that I am in the habit of getting up at 5:00 now 🙂 I got up and did my weigh-in and I was up to 104.5 kgs again today 🙁 I then went back to bed until about 7:30 as I wanted to wait for the gate to be open at the track so I could drive up! When I got to the track the gate was still locked so I had to ride up anyway! I then did about an hour or so and then had to head home as my stomach was rough and I really needed the toilet again!
I then chilled on the computer as my son was in my bed sleeping as I woke him up when I left for the track so he went into my room as its darker! I then played about with some stuff for work until he woke up then he got dressed and drove us to his mum’s house and then I drove home and chilled watching films until 21:30 when I had a shower and went to sleep!
Again I only managed a paltry 3199 Steps again today!
Wednesday 20th August 2025
Weight = 104.1 kgs
Steps = 3351 Steps
This morning I got up with my alarm at 5:00 and did my weigh-in and I was down a bit to 104.1 kgs this morning. I then did a bit of work and then headed to the track for 6:00. I did 6 x 25 m Box Sprints on the S&M and the stem is deffo too short as bars are way too close to my knees so I can’t get in a really good sprinting position. I did all Right leg forward Sprints to simulate gates a weirdly my sprints are smoother than on the BMX but the top end is deffo slower! After the 6 sprints I did a bunch of 3rd and 4th straights and just had fun! I headed home about 7:00 and then worked through until 13:30 when I took lunch. My new Stem and grips arrived just after 14:00 so I fitted them to the S&M so that I can test them out in the morning!
Again my stomach is rough so I am going to take it easy again today and most likely for the rest of the week and then next week I will get back to waking up at 5:00 and going for a walk with the weighted Rucksack on and try and sort my weight out! At the weekend I am going to get my backwards treadmill back from my parents so that I can start doing that as well as my knee was hurting a bit this morning too! I am also going to start the ATG Zero program on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays to try and get fitter and sort my knees out more! It needs limited equipment so it should be fine! As the evenings are getting darker now I will start doing the Backwards walking and ATG routine in the evenings as soon as I finish work after going for a walk!
I am going to have to start riding the bike at lunch times from next week as I will be walking in the mornings again so think that I will start walking there pushing the bike then I will have just over an hour to ride and then 15 minutes to ride home again before starting work again. I have decided that I will not even get my phone before I leave for my walk as I am wasting to much time on it at the moment! I have just bought a sticky white board to stick on the wall to write my weight on so that I don’t need my phone right away.
By the end of the day I was on 3351 Steps which again is poor.
Thursday 21st August 2025
Weight = 104.2 kgs
Steps = 8843 Steps
I slept really badly last night so when my alarm went off I fell asleep again and woke up at about 6:00! I got up and did my weigh-in and I was up 0.1 kgs to 104.2 kgs even though I was feeling a lot more toned that yesterday! GO figure! I really need to get some body fat scales to see how my body fat is doing as opposed to weight!
I then did some work and then got ready and rode the S&M into the office. At just after 11:00 I rode home and then worked until 12:00 when I had to get someone to move their van because I was blocked in my driveway 🙁 Once i got out I headed to the track and tested my S&M with the new stem and grips and I loved them both! The grips just feel really good and the stem means that I can now get in a proper sprint position with my body over the bars and still pedal so I am confident that I can race the S&M now 🙂 I am definitely going to use it as my do everything bike over the winter then I will see how I feel after Xmas about going back on to the BMX or not! I had a really good session on the 3rd and 4th straights again where I did some new things again and did a pump jump on the camel on the 3rd straight a few times as well as maualed off of the 1st jump on the 4th straight cleanly too which is a really deep manual 🙂
I have looked where the festival is that I am going to drop my Son and Ex wife off at and it is actually Southsea so it is 30 minutes away from Gosport which is sort of the wrong way home so I may go to Andover instead as that is 1 hr from Southsea BUT it closer to home. I will mull it over and decide later!
Friday 22nd August 2025

So this morning I woke up about 7:00 and did my weigh in and I was the same weight as yesterday at 104.2 kgs I then got showered and dressed and then i got my son up and while he got dressed I made a breakfast burger and ate it. We then headed over and picked up his mum and then he drove us to SouthSea and we parked up and then I headed to Gosport but I missed the turning so I headed home. When I got home I ate and then I ended up chilling for the rest of the day so no Riding!
At 21:30 I headed back to SouthSea and picked them up then drove home again. We got home about 01:30 and then I messed about doom scrolling until about 2:30 when I was tired after the drive home! By the end of the day I was only on 3743 Steps again today!
Saturday 23rd August 2025

Steps = 1284 Steps
This morning I woke up about 9:30 and got up and did my weigh-in and I was up 0.2 kgs to 104.4 kgs! This week has pretty much been a right off to be honest diet and exercise wise other than riding the track! This morning I entered to race the SW Champs on Saturday and I have paid to do open gates on Thursday and may also do gates on the Friday too AND Race the Welsh champs on the Sunday if I can still walk 🙂 I figured that there is no pressure and I can use it as more full laps as my fitness is still severely lacking! I’m going to race the S&M too so I have an excuse for not being on pace 🙂 At the moment I am the only 50+ Cruiser but I am guessing that people are going to think about it once the brits are out of the way!
This week I will focus on doing early morning sprints sessions at the down hill spot on Monday, and Wednesday then I will just do the track sessions after that. I will only do the Friday session if Thursday doesn’t go well as I think that rest will be more beneficial than another track session!
So I did a paltry 1284 steps all day which doesn’t seem enough but still! I did have my fitbit on charge most of the evening which could explain the lack of steps I guess but not too many.
