Woke up at 5am again and did my weigh-in and I was up a little bit to 106.6kgs so nothing to worry about at the moment but I am moving away from my goal of getting below 106kgs by the end of the week 🙁
I have decided that I am not going to fixate on weight as long as its not going above 107kgs that is! If it does then I will have to rethink a little but other than that i am just going to focus on keeping moving.
I then got dressed and walked into the office and did some chores in there then walked home again to start my normal day to day stuff. By the time Igot home I was on 6691 steps so 5809 steps to get to my 12500 goal so over halfway there 🙂
I am thinking that I will do this every day when I am working so I can spend an hour doing stuff in the office then walk home and start working on my normal stuff. That way I get over half my steps in every day with very little effort and I also get to do all the little stuff at work that I never get time to sort out normally.
I finish at about 11:30 today then I will try and get to the track and get a ride in as I have been really slack this week and not done any riding at all 🙁
I have just fixed the brake on the Curtis so its ready to ride this afternoon . I am still deciding if I will use flats or clips on it as I should really be riding flats as its the winter and that’s the law 🙂
From 11:30 today I am on holiday for 5 days in a row so I want to get out on the BMX as often as possible to get back in the habit of riding most days again before I start training properly at the start of the year!
I am meeting people tomorrow and Saturday so that will make it more fun and make it harder to not ride which will help as I am really not very keep on riding in the wet and windy winter weather!
I have been thinking about how to start BMX training and I think that I will start with sprints 3x a week and then add more track sessions after about a month to let my body get accustomed to the extra load.
I plan to do sprints on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays and I will do 10 x 15m sprints on Mondays I will do 10 x 30m on Wednesdays and 10 x 60m on Fridays. I will take 3 minutes between reps and alternate my front foot each time. For a warmup I will do 3 x pump laps followed by 10-15 minutes of flat skills then go straight into my sprint session. At the moment I will do the sprints on flats to get used to flats.
So this afternoon evening didn’t go as planned as I fell asleep for and hour or so at lunch time and then get a call from my brother to ask if I could drive himself and my niece home this evening as they had been at a bottomless brunch so he was in no fit state to drive! So I walked over to the the bar they were in and met them and then we walked back to the car and I drove them home then my sister in law drove me home!
This meant that I didn’t have to walk on the treadmill as I was on 13181 steps by the time I got home 🙂
I was speaking to my brother and he has lost 1.5 stones (just under 10kgs) this month from consistently going to the gym so I think I need to start working out as soon as possible to get the weight to start to drop off! So I think after xmas I will start doing sprints Mon, Wed and Thursday and Weights Tues, Thurs and Sat then rest on Sundays and adding that to the 12500+ steps a day I should be good to drop a bunch of weight and also get BMX fit in no time!
