I was up and in the office this morning by 5:30am as I had a lot to do. I rode the Pure ebike there and back and it was flying as always 🙂 I am really starting to like this bike a lot and its is deffo my go-to commuting bike now even though my commute is about 10 minutes each way 🙂
I am taking my Jump Bike to the track container tomorrow so that will give me another 20 minutes of riding the Pure everyday riding from work to the track and then home after riding the track on the jump bike every day.
Before I got dressed I did a quick weigh-in and I am back up to 106kgs this morning so I need to start exercising more and also watch all the crap that I am eating at the moment too!
So my new Vitus Nucleus 29 VR Mountain Bike arrived today just before Lunchtime! So perfect timing for me to unbox it and build it ready to test it out at the weekend 🙂
It also came with a bonus set of tools and pedals so its my lucky day 🙂
The box was massive and heavy so I dragged it into the house as far as I could to get the front door closed and then I pulled the bike out from there and then carried the pieces into the lounge to build.
The bike went together really quickly and the hardest part was getting the decorator tape off of the handlebars as it kept ripping all the time 🙂
I am pretty impressed with the quality of the parts for a £400 bike and the only thing that I will be changing is the grips as the ones that came with it are a bit meh! I have some new DMR Death Grips that I am just swapping over onto the Vitus now and then it is all done!
Later on I will put the WTB Thick Slick Comp tyres that arrived yesterday on the bike, but for now I am going to leave it as it is and put it on the smart trainer so that I can do a bit on Zwift later tonight. The new SunRace CSM680 Wide Ratio Cassette (11-40T, 8 Speed) that I bought for the smart trainer arrived yesterday too so I am just about to fit it to the smart trainer and then I will put the Vitus on the Smart Trainer ready for me to do a Zwift ride this evening sometime! I have had the Zwift PC setup for 2 weeks and not used the smart trainer once so far which is not good!
I have put road clipless pedals on the bike for now as I am basically using it as a road bike as my shoulder is too rough to use a road bike or take the MYB off road for now. Once my shoulder is better I will put some MTB clipless pedals on the bike and take it off road a bit too 🙂
