This morning I woke up at 5 and got up and got ready then grabbed the park bike and rode to the skatepark! When I got to the skatepark it was still wet and my back was hurting a lot as well so I decided that I am not ready to ride BMX yest so ride home.
My current frame is too short for me I think so I will wait until my new Mankind frame arrives, build that up and give it another go! The brake on the park bike is awful so I will have to fix that to use it to ride to work and the gym and at the pump track!
For now I am going to swap weekend skatepark session back to early morning weekend pump track sessions instead! The Mankind frame should be good on pump tracks too as its a park/trails frame so its a bit longer and built for speed and to be stable at speed!
During the week I will just do as many road rides as i can to try and drop weight to be able to learn to ride parks better! At the weekend I will go to the pump track and ride there! I also really need to get back into the habit of walking again as I have been really bad recently and it shows as my back has been really sore and I have been putting on loads of weight and generally feeling bad 🙁
I am going to start walking again from today so hopefully I will start feeling better soon!
I have decided that I will do the gym on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday mornings and Ride the road bike the other mornings as well as make the effort to go out on the bike at lunch times too to try and drop as much weight as possible until the end of August and then start adding BMX specific sessions into my program from August onwards ready for a solid winter of bmx specific training!
