tired but feeling better today

So I woke up feeling tired but OK and then got up, did my weigh in (up to 104.1 kgs!) and then showered and got dressed and drove into the office via a post pox to post a letter.

I then worked until just after 7am and then drove home and got on with my usual daily tasks.

I managed to get 1309 steps in while in the office so a good enough start to the day I suppose 🙂

Its not looking like I will be able to get to the track again today which may be a good thing as I have a cough now 🙁 But I will try and get my 10000 steps and do my 10 minutes backwards walking too as doing yesterday has really reduced the pain in my knees again 🙂 Because of the difference that the 10 minutes backwards treadmill makes I think that I will start doing it every day even on the weekends and make sure it is one of the habits that I stick to as it is helping so much. Weirdly it also seems to be toning my arms too as I guess that I am using my arms and upper body to not fall off of the treadmill and to hold my weight up to a certain extent!

I have just swapped the bars over on the Cult and adjusted the bar height and it feels way more comfortable now. I also think that the white bars go a bit better with the bike too as the grey and white contrast a bit better than the black and white on the Standard would have!

So while I was chilling at lunch the Cult Race forks arrived from skate pro so I have fitted them to the Cult and it is now ready to go:

I have just got the notification that the new S&M 29er 5.75″ bars for the Curtis have been sent so they will be here next week I guess but they may turn up for the weekend. I am going to the track tomorrow lunch time to meet up with the Matt’s so I will take the Cult and the Standard to the track and see how they both ride.

After work I will put the Odyssey forks that I took off of the Cult onto the Sunday Wave C frame then I will be able to build that up once the bars arrive that I ordered last week.

I have decided that I am not going to bother swapping cranks over from the Curtis to the Cult as the Cranks on the Curtis although older are fully dialled in so I may as well leave them alone!

I am just waiting for a clothes rail to arrive then I can get started organising my race kits and BMX shoes onto the rail to make it easier to find them from now on as they are all over the flat at the moment which is really annoying to be honest!

I noticed that there was a deep scratch that was down to bare metal on the rear triangle so I have fixed it with a Speedline sticker for now 🙂

Looks much better and it will not rust now 🙂

I have decided that I will ride the Cult to work in the morning to see how it feels then I will just take the standard to the track at lunch time as I am used to riding that so it makes more sense. The Cult will be more of a ride to work/ pump track bike anyway so I will take it to the pump track over the weekend to see how it feels. The cranks steel feel like overkill and may get changed for some cheaper ones but they look pretty good at the moment!
