So this morning I spent most of the morning in bed icing and elevating my ankle although I did get up and swap out the brake cable on the GT for a new cable and I also adjusted the springs on the calliper to be on the highest settings but the brake is still pretty bad although it works better so it was worth doing.
After finishing the GT I had to get ready and shoot up to the track for the team day. I tried riding a bit and my ankle was a bit sore but bearable until I tried a manual and it hurt a lot so I stopped riding to not hurt the ankle any more. The sprain is a pretty minor sprain so I am hoping that it will be sorted by next weekend 🤞🏻
I am currently putting the rear wheel on the ebike ready to ride it to work tomorrow morning as I don’t think that my ankle will be good enough to ride the GT yet.
I have to get into work early in the morning so I will not walk anyway but I may rest a couple of more days to let the ankle heal a bit more and just do my upper body weights to workout!
I am thinking that I will swap press ups for bench presses for now until I am stronger or lighter or both so Tomorrow night I plan to do 5 sets of 50 reps on the bench press with a light weight to start with my winter training. And I think that I will swap squats for just doing Right legged Belgian squats until my ankle is stronger then I will go to squats as planned. I will probably wait until next week to start walking too so I may get the rollers out and do some slow roller sessions until my ankle is stronger!
The Standard 125R is coming together nicely 🙂 The front end is done I am waiting until the tyre and brake arrives to get the rest built up but I think that I should have it all finished and ready to ride for the weekend hopefully 🙂
