I bought a Sunday wave C 24 frame and forks at the weekend and it arrived today. I am going to put the profile elite wheelset off of my S&M Steel Panther on it and will run a 31 X 13 gearing as I have a 31 tooth Tall Order chain ring in the parts box already. I am using the redline cranks off of my jump bike for now as I’m not using the jump bike as it is in storage as I am rebuilding it for my son to use.
A bunch of parts arrived for the Sunday build today and I ordered the remaining parts today for delivery tomorrow.

The seat and post are the ones that I used when I was in Seattle at the end of last year so are pretty much brand new as they were only used for a month on my days off.
Yesterday the KMC Z1 silver Wide chain arrived.
I had the following parts arrive today:
Profile elite freewheel (chrome) 13t and 12t.
Profile elite 10mm to 14mm adapters.
Odysey brake kit.
Tomorrow I have the following arriving:
Odi vans grips.
seal mid 19mm bottom bracket
Animal highline 50mm stem
Shadow conspiracy stacked headset.
Sunday seat clamp.
I am using the wheels tyres and bars from the s&m so I think that I will have everything that I need to build the bike after tomorrow.
07/02/2020 – Build Day.
I am going to build the bike today without a brake as I am still waiting on an adjuster screw to arrive.

Had issues with the chain as I cut it in the wrong place and I didn’t use my usual method of measure twice cut once. Instead going for measure once and cut! Lesson learned. I have had to order a new chain which will be ready for pickup after 12:00 today.
The brake adjuster screw arrived yesterday so I can get the bike 100% built up this afternoon 😁

The Sunday is finally complete apart from the seat clamp which is at work so I will fit it tomorrow.
I ended up buying a black Clarke half link chain from chain reaction cycles which arrived this morning. Once the wheel was sorted and the chain on I was able to adjust the brake too.

I really like the look of the bike and I am going to keep it as is for a couple of months until I get some cash saved then I will get the profile elite hubs that are at my friend’s house built up with some freestyle rims and get some freestyle tyres too to complete the build.

I have been riding the Sunday to work and back and I decided the bars are too low so I have just bought a set of S&M bruiser bars which are an inch higher than the bars on the bike at the moment so they should hopefully feel a bit better.
The new bars will be here the middle of next week so I will have to make do until then. Apart from the low bars I am loving the feel of the Sunday. I am hoping that the latest hurricane passes quickly so that I can get the bike into the skatepark for a play. It is perfect for riding to work so it was worth buying but I want to try it out in the skatepark too.

I picked up the bruiser bars from work last night and I am just fitting them now. Hopefully this will resolve the issue of the bars feeling too low.

I fixed the back wheel that had issues due to the O ring for the driver which has made a real difference to how well the wheel spins. More details HERE.
