Sunday BMX Track Training
Last night I signed up to race the first SW regional at Decoy next weekend as I had taken the weekend off anyway and it means that I can be qualified for the brits next month then I don’t need to do any more regionals after the Bristol Regional on the 27th of June so I can concentrate on Nationals and the Bristol Summer series and knuckle down to save money for the rest of the year.
I set my alarm and woke up at 11:30 this morning which meant that I had 4 hours sleep. I showered and got ready and went to the track for the open session. I was an hour late but I still got about an hour in before it really started raining and everyone stopped riding. I got about 5 good fast 1st straights in before I started getting dizzie and decided to stop. Everyone said I should stay riding the FTB so I am going to ride it at least for this year at least! They all said I was looking faster than ever and manualing better than ever too. I even got my first ever tap manual on the second jump. I was also going so fast that I was over pedal manualing the table top too!
Went home then had a bath and made food for myself and my son.
I also signed up for the first regional of the year so I am now panicking that I still haven’t done a full lap of a track in the past 2 years!!!
I also have to ride to Crucial BMX this week to get my 2021 numbers ready for next weekend and also find my number plates and transponder ready to race. I also have to reluctantly renew my transponder even though I paid for last year and never uses it!!
Update. I bought the numbers this morning (17/05/2021) and today I am getting my road bike ready to ride into Crucial in the morning to get the numbers to get my number plates set up ready for the weekend. I am going to my parents house this evening to find my number plates so that I can peel off the old numbers and clean them up ready for the regional next weekend.
