Still ill

So I woke up feeling rough again at 7 am and did a bit of work then did my weigh-in and I was surprised to see that I am down to 102.1 kgs so going back to Carnivore yesterday has worked for sure 😁 I lost 1.1 kgs in a day which is really good 😁 I am hoping that I will be below 102 kgs by tomorrow 🤞

I then went to bed again as I was feeling really bad. Before I went to sleep again I put an offer on a Federal Boyd ICS 2 20.7″ frame in blue and won it so I am now going to have a decent street/park bike once it’s built up:

I have decided to spend my learning hour a day learning how to ride street/ park so I am going to set weekly goals and work towards them. I found a cheap Subrosa rail as well and bought it and also 2 more Fiend 4.25″ pegs to have 4 identical pegs and also 4 hub guards so my first learn will be double peg grinds on the rail.

I’m also going to build the bike brakeless to get used to controlling speed better without grabbing brakes all the time.

The 12t cog and chains arrived today as did the stem for the Black Market and also the stem for my Son’s Supercross as well. I have already installed the cog on the S&M wheel and will fit it back on the bike later and dial it in.

The bike storage rack will be here later today so I will sort that out first then deal with the bikes once there is room in the flat.

I am still waiting on a DXR brake caliper and brake for the S&M before it will be ready and I have just found out that the rear rim to build up the profile mini Hubs is going to be a couple of weeks at least so no rush on building them up.

The Haro wheels will be fine for now so it’s all good.

When the Federal frame arrives and all the stuff for it I will build it up and start riding it.

So I have just tried to put a chain on the S&M and the wheel either fits way too close to the front of the dropout so the tyre rubs or right at the back of the dropout so the back end is really long so I have bought a couple of KMC HL1 narrow chains one to use and one for a spare. They will be here around the 19th so next Thursday at the earliest before I can get the bike finished but I guess that it gives the brake caliper and lever time to arrive and the DMT Brendog grips that I ordered to arrive too 🙂 As there is nothing more that I can do with the bike at the moment I will stick it in the kitchen and wait for the bike rack to arrive. It is 19:00 and its currently 5 stops away so should be here soon hopefully then I can get on with organising the flat a bit!

The lounge is currently a state as I have just been dumping things on the sofa while I have been ill and my son’s old draws are still there waiting for him to empty his clothes into his new draws too:

My idea at the moment is to take the aquarium into the garage and the backwards treadmill into the bedroom and then push the sofa down to the other doorway and then have the bike rack and all the bikes between the kitchen door and the sofa as they are then about as close to the outside door as they can be to minimise the mess dragged around the house. I may even buy a couple of new mats to catch all the dirt and stop it spreading! Although the floor is probably easier to clean so maybe not!

So I have pushed the sofa as far along the wall as it can go and swept the floor so I now have some space to build the bike rack which has just arrived now:

By my calculations I have 10 inches more space than I need so I should be able to push the sofa away from the wall a bit to give me more room to get through the door but we will see once the bikes are all in the rack!

So it took me about an hour due to a lot of cramp in the hands but I got the bike rack built and I now have 5 bikes stored in less than the space of the Black Market now and I was able to move the sofa away from the door a bit so all fits more or less perfectly!

I’m super happy with the new rack as it gets all of the bikes out of the bedroom and into the lounge and they are now really close to the door so its way easier to get them down and get them outside to ride now! I will be honest! When the garage is clear I will move the bikes into the garage and then put the sofa back where the bikes are now and bring the treadmill back into the lounge but this will do until we get the new containers later in the year!

I’m now done for the day so I am off to bed and I am going to try and get up early and go for a ride in the morning first thing as I have to be home by 9 am as I have deliveries coming again!

Over the weekend I will get the DK, GT and Sunday BMX’s built up and then get them on the internet to sell as I will not be riding them so I may as well let them go to someone who will use them! It will also mean 3 less bikes taking up space for no reason and about £800 to go towards paying off the credit cards! I will also get my Halo Freewheel wheels up for sale as well as I am not going to need them so that will be about another £150 back so almost £1000 off the credit card by selling 4 things!

I need to ask about getting my other Curtis back and then I will also be able to get rid of the Standard 125R as well and maybe the cult as well although I may keep that for riding around town on as it will be my cheapest Cruiser that I will have left! If I sell the 125R Cruiser then I will sell it in parts and put the wheels, cranks and some other bits onto the Cult and then I can get the Profile Mini hubs from the Cult built up on Sun Envy rims for the S&M as the hubs are newer and then move the S&M wheels to the Park Bike with the 9t driver that I have in the parts box that I am swapping out at the moment. This will then mean that I have a spare driver for the S&M when needed!

This will mean that I have the following bikes:

Curtis New (Race and gates bike)

Standard OS20 (Racing, gates and sprint bike)

Curtis OLD (Training bike and Sprints bike)

Cult (Riding around town bike and Heavy gear sprints bike)

S&M (Pump track and riding around if I feel like it)
Federal (Park bike)

Black Market (Pump track, jumping bike)

DMR Jump bike (Pump track, jumping bike)

All of these bikes will be able to fit in the flat for now.
