Still feeling bad + January Training Plan

I am still feeling bad so I did not train this morning as planned. I am going to try and get out on the bike a bit later on today to at least do some exercise.

While lying in bed feeling sorry for myself I have been thinking about my off season training and I think that this month I should carry on with my Tuesday night sprints and Saturday Coaching and then just add manual practice and the gym and forget about the Monday and Thursday sprints at the moment as I think that my body will have enough extra load to deal with from the gym so I do not want to over train and get sick or injured. While at the gym I want to add skipping as my warm up so I will start at doing 2 minutes and build up by a minute each week until I get to 10 minutes continuous skipping. Skipping is amazing for building leg endurance, foot speed and it is also amazing at shredding fat too so its a brilliant addition to my training. My training in January will consist of:

Day AM PM
Monday Gym (legs) / Stretching Manuals
Tuesday Gym (arms) / Stretching Flat Sprints
Wednesday Slow road ride Bristol Racing or Basketball
Thursday Gym (arms) / Stretching Manuals
Friday Gym (legs) / Stretching Manuals
Saturday Pump Track then Coaching Rest
Sunday Rest Rest

Regarding the Manuals I think that I left it too late in the year to improve to 49m by this Saturday especially as I am sick and not feeling great from Whatever illness I still have and also the Coca Cola Withdrawal so I have not been able to put the training in to reach my goal! I will still try to make it but I am thinking that I may have to change the challenge to 50m by 50 years old instead to make it attainable.

We will see how this week goes and then make a decision based on that!
