So the new Disk Brake Adaptor for the StayStrong v4 Cruiser frame arrived this morning so I have just built it up ready to test at lunch time 🙂
I had to swap the disk on the Onyx rear wheel to a 120mm disk to work with the V4 Disk adapter as the Curtis had 140mm disk which was too big to work! Other than that the rest of the parts worked fine so the build was an easy one to be honest! I spoke too soon as the rear wheel is rubbing on the dropouts somewhere so I will hold off on riding it today and just have a play on the S&M instead.
When I took the Onyx wheel off it seems that the Onyx wheel is the issue not the Frame so I have put the Profile wheel on and the StayStrong is ready to go in the morning! I am going to take it to the track first thing and do some full laps on the StayStrong for a play. Then it should be fine to do gates tomorrow afternoon!
I have also bought a 27.2mm to 31.6mm seat post sleeve/ adaptor so that I can run a box seat on the StayStrong as I can’t slam the seat fully with the post that I have at the moment. That will be here tomorrow so I can hopefully use it at gates tomorrow night.
