I am starting to feel better from whatever I had a few weeks ago although I am still sleeping a lot more than usual! I woke up at 7:56 this morning without an alarm when normally I would hake up around 5am!
Along with being a bit sick still this last week has been my detox from Coca Cola week so I have been feeling worse from the comedown from the Coca Cola or more specifically the sugar and caffeine that I stopped getting from the Coca Cola and whatever else is in there that makes it really hard to stop drinking. The week has been pretty good considering and I have not had any Coca Cola this week at all! I did have a can of Apple Tango a day from Tuesday onwards to reduce the detox effects and stop the terrible headache that I had from Monday afternoon onwards! I also slept a lot going to bed at 7-8 pm most nights until Wednesday night and waking up at 7:30 just in time to start work which is very different to my usual routing of waking up between 5:00-5:30 every morning.
I haven’t done much walking again this week although Wednesday I rode the bike into the office and back and also managed 7300 Steps as well. I also managed 9921 steps doing my Xmas shopping and if I would have known that I was that close to 10000 Steps I would have walked at home to get the 10000 steps 🙁 Weirdly when I looked at my Fitbit I was 300 steps from reaching my 10000 Step goal so I am not sure what happened there!
Considering I did very little exercise this week I was down to 107kgs on Wednesday when I did my weigh-in which is 1.6kgs down from my last weigh in so that is a lot of weight to lose while not being very active, it also show just how many empty calories I was taking in when I was drinking all of that Coca Cola! I can actually see in my face how much weight I have lost already even after just 1 week of cutting out Coca Cola from my life! I am hoping that after stopping drinking fizzy drinks all together and starting to exercising again I can start losing serious weigh and make a good start on making it to Next years weight goal before the year even starts!
Now that I am feeling a bit better and the effects of not drinking Coca Cola are getting less severe I am going to start walking again until the end of the year to try and get some more weight off. I also want to make a start at getting back into going to the gym after xmas so that I can get used to the gym while it is super quiet and then when it gets busier in the new year I will be used to it and it will be less traumatic! As I have to be in Bath on Boxing day to move my table and chairs to my Parents house I will pop into the gym as early as I can so that I can start the week off in the gym and go from there! I am off on the Tuesday as well so I will try and get to the gym as well and then try and carry it on for the rest of the week. I am on holiday from Friday 30th December until the 10th January so it I should be able to get in the habit of going to the gym first thing and then when I start back at work I will be used to getting up and going to the gym so it will be easier to carry on when I start back at work.
Yesterday I realised just how much time I wasting on my phone so I have deleted Facebook and a bunch of other apps to make it more difficult to stay in bed on my phone. I had been noticing that for the past month or so I had been waking up early BUT instead of getting up and starting my day I was going back to bed and wasting hours on the phone doing nothing! SO I want to get back into the habit of waking up and getting out of bed and starting my day in a more positive way by exercising before work instead so removing the apps from the phone is a great way to do this. I am going to try and not watch youtube for a while too then I can try and fill my time more productively instead of wasting hours on my phone wasting time!
After boxing day I will no longer have a dining room table or chairs so I want to set my Smart Trainer and road bike up and start riding on that for at least and hour a day to start getting fitter and also drop a bunch of weight! I am planning on starting at low intensity and most likely doing it when I am watching TV to start with to build up a base fitness ready to drop in some more intense Strava rides after a month or so of doing this, once my body has adjusted to the gym sessions and the light cycling.
My shoulder is starting to feel better so I am off to the track in a minute to see if it is ready to ride on the track or not! Riding to work the other day I was able to ride standing up pain free as well as do a manual without pain so hopefully it is ready to start playing on the track a bit! I am not going to go to hard today mainly just pumping and enjoying riding again as I don’t want to hurt my shoulder again and set my recovery back it is more of a pre xmas social ride than anything else so it will just be fun to get out and ride my new AirDrop Fade that has been hung on the wall for over a month doing nothing 🙁
