This morning I woke up feeling really tired and sick but I still managed to force myself out of bed and out of the house for my morning ruck! I did forget to do a weigh-in but you can’t have everything. My ruck went OK although there were a lot of cars about so it was my slowest ruck yet! I had to wait for 2 cars before I had even left my estate so it was never going to be a super quick time this morning. I was also feeling really sick so that didn’t help either.
I walked for 53 minutes and 11 seconds this morning and covered 2.71 miles and gained 343 feet.
I’m feeling like crap so I am not going into the office today so that I don;t infect anyone else. I will try and get my backwards walking in at lunch time and maybe go for a walk as well to try and get my steps in early today as I think I am going to fade fast and I have to work on call again tonight!
After my ruck I am only on 6576 steps so just over 1/2 way to my 12000 step goal!
I have decided that I will concentrate on rucking and getting my 12000 steps in this week so I will ruck on my gym days this week and then start in the gym next week once I am used to rucking a bit more and it wiped me out this week to be honest. I am feeling less bad after this morning’s ruck so I think my body just needs a bit more time to get used to the extra load from walking uphill with the weight vest on! My abs are especially sore as I guess they have to work a lot harder to stabilise and hold up the 10 kg weight vest as well as my torso!
Although I haven’t dropped any significant weight in the past week I have defiantly noticed that I am getting more tones and leaner so I think consistently doing this in the morning will get me where I need to be. Especially when I sort out my diet and cut out takeout and sweets and crisps totally! I will eat whatever for the next week then start to try and cut out all ultra processed foods which are basically poison these days! I am going to start eating carnivore from Sunday 1st December and then other than for Xmas I will see how long I can keep it up for and see how much weight I can drop.
I didn’t get anything done at lunch as I had a sleep for and hour and a half instead. I did get my backwards walking done at 4 pm so that is out of the way and I am up to 8755 steps already from walking around the house doing house work and doing the backwards walking. I am about to hover and mop now and get all the recycling out in the recycling bins so I am hoping that I can get rid of a bunch more steps before having to walk on the treadmill again later tonight!
Once I have finished cleaning and got my 12000 steps for the day I will shower and get ready for bed and then chill and monitor the on call stuff.
The Brake and Chain ring for the Dialled Pro arrived today and I got some inner tubes from the container on Saturday so I will get them into the wheels for the pro as well then they are ready to go on once the bottom bracket, seat clamp and grips arrive. They are supposed to be here by Wednesday so I can then dial in the bike and get it up for sale. The club may buy it but if not I think that it will sell pretty quickly anyway.
Tomorrow on my afternoon off I plan to sort out the shed so that I can stick the DK out there out of the way and free up some more space in the house as I am getting really annoyed with the flat again as I am constantly tripping up over things all the time.
I also need to get the Cult Cruiser frame and the StayStong broken down and the parts up for sale as well so that I can clear another space on the bike rack! The club have just bought a new container so as soon as that arrives and is installed I will get the club bikes out of the garage and the Monitor Stand to free up space then I will move the bike stand into the garage and go back to having just one bike on the wall above the sofa and keep the rest in the garage again!
I will most likely bring the backwards treadmill back into the lounge and then bring in my other 2 bike bike stand into the bedroom where I currently have the backwards treadmill then I can keep my 3 best bikes and my Son’s Supercross in the house and the rest of the bikes can live in the garage.
