Started walking in the morning

This morning I woke up at 4:45 without an alarm so I got up showered, got dress, packed my bag and set off for my morning walk. I decided that I would take a scenic route to walk to get some serious steps in before I started work.

Instead of the usual 20 ish minute walk I walked for 48:30 and covered 2.77 miles or 5796 steps and I got to the office about 6am. I had planned to walk a longer route but it was raining pretty hard so I decided to head to the office sooner as I didn’t want to be wet all morning!

The ankle was stiff for about the first mile as I was in the barefoot shoes which uses more ankle flexion but after about 15 minutes the stiffness was gone and I was feeling good. I felt way happier when I got to the office and my mood is definitely elevated which is good! My lungs also fell way less congested as well which is a bonus! I don’t know why I ever stop doing my morning walk as it always improves my mood and makes me feel better so I am stupid to keep stopping walking!

As I am in the office I have been walking about a lot so I am currently on 7044 steps so whichever way I walk home at lunch time I will be on over 10000 steps by the time I get home which is ideal!
