So this morning I woke up with my alarm feeling a bit tired after not being able to get to sleep until way past 23:00 partly due to riding gates and also building the Standard when I got home! But I still got up and did my weigh in (Down a bit to 103.6 kgs but still 1.1 kgs heavier than I was at the start of the week!) and got showered and dressed then did some work until 6 am. At 6am I grabbed the Jump bike, stuck it on the car and then drove to the garage and filled up the car and then drove to the track and did 30 minutes or so of jumping on the tabletop. I did this as the track is going to be closed all day as there is a holiday club on so I figured that I would get a bit of riding in first thing!
I’m glad that I did as I am feeling way more comfortable jumping the tabletop on the jump bike. I didn’t manage to clear the tabletop but I did get the front wheel over a couple of times so I am getting there slowly! I think with a few more sessions I should be clearing the tabletop at least then I need to move on to the 3rd on 3rd.
I have just got the message that the DJ seat post has been posted so that should be here next week then I can at least sit down when I ride it to the office and gym next week 🙂 I will also have the Standard available to ride as well so I may just ride that as I have the cool down seat post already for it and I know that that works 🙂 I am planning to go to my parents house this afternoon as I am working through lunch today so that I can finish early and shoot over and drop off the DK and pick up the GT so that I can grab the chain and freewheel off of it and finish building the Standard tonight. I will also get the GT built up and take some photos to stick on the internet to get that sold!
So I have had a change of plans on the Standard wheels as there was not enough space in the dropouts to use the Profile Elite Freewheel so I decided to bite the bullet and get a set of Profile Elite wheels that a friend was selling and I will sell the Halo wheels and get at least half of the Profile Elite wheels back! This also means that I can have the Standard race Ready as well so if my Friends daughter wants to race on it when I am racing the Curtis she can. I can also race it at winter races if the weather is really bad so I don’t mess up the Curtis.
I have just bought the forks for the Black Market as well and a Crupi I-Beam stem from Crucial so the Black Market will be back in action soon. I also bought a couple of pairs of 34″ StayStrong Race pants as my 36″ ones are falling down all the time which is really annoying. I also bought a 18t Profile Elite cog as well so that I can run 41 x 18 when I get the Profile Elite wheels at the weekend!
