This morning I woke up with my alarm at 5am but had a really sore neck/ shoulder so decided to chill this morning after my weigh-in (up 0.1 kgs to 106.4 kgs) my wrist is also really sore from riding last night so I have to swap out the bars as the StayStrong Flat bars seem to aggravate my wrist more than S&M bars do. I will swap the bars off of my Dialled 20″ to test how they feel at lunch time.
I can’t ride at the track this lunch time as there is a club race on so I will maybe go for a walk instead to get some steps in as its 8 am and I am currently on only 158 steps 🙁 I am also just about to take some paracetamol to sort out my neck/ shoulder and wrist pain too 🙁
The new brake is arriving for the Curtis today so I will be able to get the Curtis back up and running this afternoon/ evening too so I will be able to ride again soon 🙂 I also bought some chrome brass spoke nipples from Halo this morning so I will have everything to get my new rear wheel built up by the weekend so I should be able to give it to my friend to build up over the next couple of weeks then I can use the Curtis and OS20 as my winter bikes!
I also need to get the brake cable on the S&M .38 Special so that I can ride that too as it has been sitting at 95% built for a while now and it would be nice to get it up and running so I can try it out at the pump track over the weekend. I now also have the DK almost built back up other than a brake system so I want to get that fully built up then I can use it to ride to work on and go for road rides on while I don’t have the mtb here.
I found out yesterday that the first tunnel on the 2 tunnels is going to be closed for most of November so that means that I will have to go to Bitten on the Bath to Bristol cycle path instead at lunch times from next week which is a bit annoying as the Bath to Bristol ride is way busier and a lot more boring but I will have to make do!
It turns out that the brake for the Curtis arrives tomorrow not today so I will not have the Curtis ready to ride tomorrow but I will have it ready for gates on Saturday if I want to ride it!
I’m planning on doing some early morning track sessions over the weekend so I will have a play on both the Curtis and the OS20 as well.
