So I have know that this has been coming all week but I am finally properly ill this morning instead of just feeling meh! When my alarm woke me up at 5 am I turned it off an went back to sleep until about 7:30 as there was no point in trying to ruck this morning as it would just make things worse!I also didn’t get my 10000 steps in yesterday as I was feeling rough so was surprised to see that I was still 106.8 kgs this morning so I didn’t lose any weight but I didn’t gain any weight either!

I am now chilling in bed for a bit until I have to get up and get dressed an go to the track to meet some friends for a ride.

I have decided to take the weekend off and try and get better and then play it by ear next week. When I am better I will start the rucking challenge again as I haven’t really been doing the challenge regularly yet even though I have been amazed by the results when I have Rucked! Hopefully I will be back to 100% by Tuesday morning so that I can start rucking before work and riding at lunch times and doing body-weight exercises in the evening as well an start getting back on track with my training!

I really need to re-shift my focus to being consistent again as I am a bit all over the place again at the moment!

The upside of being sick again is that I can get all the bike maintenance sorted as I have the gearing on my jump bike to change and I have the new hydraulic brakes to fit on my e-bike and also the belt to tension as well to try and stop that slipping as well! Once the bikes are sorted I can then leave the jump bike at the track and start using the ebike to get to the track every day  again so I don’t have to use the car as much as I am at the moment!

I am thinking that I may start going over to Bristol for gates and club racing on Wednesdays and race the jump bike so that I am riding for fun more than expecting to win or at least do well as I would on the BMX. I will basically gun the first straight and then chill on the rest of the track anyway so it will be useful for fitness if nothing else and will help me progress my riding again with zero pressure or expectations 🙂 I’m also riding flats as well to protect my ankle and also make my gates slower to force me to get faster an smoother on the track again:

May be an image of 1 person, bicycle and text that says 'KRISTOL JETS BMX Let's go racing! Bristol Jets Wednesday night summer series is back. 10 races minimum of 8 must be ridden to qualify for a trophy. 20th March 3rd April 17th April 1st May 15th May 22nd May 5th June 19th June 3rd July 17th July Register on the night. Registration opens 6pm and closes at 6.30pm. Racing starts at 7pm. No transponder needed- the finish line will be a traditional Bristol one! £4 members. £6 non-members. 24th July Gates and trophy presentation Gate ights as usual on non-racing nights.'

So racing starts on 20th March so I have a week and a half to get in shape to be able to get around the track at some kind of speed before then 🙂 I will pop to the track tomorrow early and get some practice in see if my wrist is up to riding the Bristol track. I can then use this Wednesday to see how driving to Pathway is on Wednesday nights as its usually really hard to get out of Bath in the evenings! I’m planning on just using the racing as pump laps and use them to push my riding a bit and hopefully start adding jumps and manuals to my laps slowly as I get more confident.

I am going to try and get up at 6am tomorrow and head to Patchway for a play first thing then I need to head home get ready and head to the parents house for about 12:00.
