So I woke up this morning and got ready and went for the same ride as yesterday but it was way harder for some reason:
I took just over 4 and a half minutes longer to do the ride (46.17 minutes today compared to 41.47 this morning) my average speed was down from 15.2mph yesterday to 13.8mph today although I did have a faster max speed today at 25.3mph compared to 22.6mph yesterday so not all bad.
On the whole my times and speed on the mtb are well down compared to my times and speeds on my road bike but that is to be expected as the mtb is heavier and has much wider tyres and a way lower gearing to the road bike!
I was slower today as my body was really fatigued from riding the day before and my legs were burning throughout the ride. I am still glad that I pushed through and ignored the thoughts of turning back and having a rest day as I felt way better after the ride so it was worth it.
