I woke up at 5am as planned and did a pre ruck challenge weigh in and I was surprised to see that I was 107.0kgs!! So 1kg heavier than when I got sick! Still I guess its better to be heavier than normal to start a challenge as it means that you lose more weight at the start of the challenge 🙂
I then got showered and dressed, put my weight vest and coat on and headed to the office! When I got to the office I took the weight vest off and did some work for 30 minutes then put the weight vest back on and walked home again. By the time I got home I was on 7078 steps with probably 7000 being weighted Rucking steps to boot! Not a bad start to the day! I also had to walk in my barefoot shoes as well so I am feeling the befits of the shoes and from the Ruck!
Walking with the extra 10kgs was hardly noticeable apart from my stomach hurting from constantly being tensed to hold up the weight and for the last mile or so my legs were feeling a bit heavy! Nothing too bad and my ankles and knees felt fine which is surprising 🙂 I think doing this 4 -5 days a week will deffo help with my fitness/ weight loss goals for sure and I hope that he weight will start to drop off now. We will see!
I guess that I wasn’t as well as I though as I have just woken up from a 3 hour nap 🙁 I’m feeling better but I have decided not to overdo it and to just do my rucking and 10000 steps this week and ramp up to riding the bike at lunch times from next week to try and get rid of whatever I have had all weekend!
At about 19:00 I started walking on the treadmill and got to 10000 steps for the day and then made my overnight oats for the week before going back to bed.
By the end of the day I was on 10981 steps.
