Revised Training again!

I have been thinking about my training and I feel like it is too high intensity and was not allowing me to rest and relax enough. I have decided that this month I will do the following training and see how it goes:

I woke up this morning and did not walk as I have a weird stomach still which also stopped me going riding last night too. I did some chores around the house and then got to thinking about the week of training that I have had. I came to the conclusion that the waking up at 5:30 in the morning to go walking is not practical when I am riding and playing basketball at night as I am unable to get home about 9-10pm and then go straight to sleep.

I have decided that I will move my walking to my lunch time and then sleep later in the mornings until about 7am which is still an hour and a half before work to do everything that I need to do before work starts.

Mondays:

I have decided that Monday mornings will be my active rest day and I will do a slower road bike ride to exercise the aches and pains of the weekends training out of the body and then at lunch time go for a walk for an hour and then do Sprints in the evening after work.

Tuesdays:

At the moment I have coaching at Bath track on Tuesday nights so I plan to rest in the morning, walk at lunch time and then do training after work. This will only carry on until the clocks change and then I will have to move to going to Burnham track to do gates instead.

Wednesdays:

As I will have been training until late I am going to sleep in on Wednesdays mornings too and walk at lunch time again. On Wednesday evenings I will either be playing Basketball or when I have a week off from basketball games (there are 5 teams in the league so one team will not have a game each week) I will go to Bristol to race or do gates if racing has stopped. Bristol has lights now so I hope that they continue running racing or gates Wednesday nights over the winter.

Thursdays:

Again sleeping in due to basketball or Bristol BMX the night before and walking in my lunch break again. In the evening I will try and get to Burnham BMX track to do a gates session and track skills session. If I can not make it to Burnham (usually due to lack of cash) I can go out on my bike and do carpark skills or fit in another sprints session.

Fridays:

I plan to get up and go for a road ride early of Fridays too as I will get a a lie in over the weekend so I can deal with a bit less sleep. Again walking in my lunch break and if I feel up to it a sprint session after work.

Saturday  and Sundays:

The weekend is pretty open but I want to ride my bike both days as well as get a walk in at some point during the day. Some weekends will be regional racing so I will be training/ racing at the track where the regional is but other weekends like this one I plan to go to Bristol track on the Saturday to practice as I will be racing there on the Wednesday nigh so I want to get some practice in as I haven’t ridden a 20″ there for a while. And Sundays are normally gates at Bath track so I will ride there before gates and then most likely do some gates too.
