So this morning I woke up feeling super tired from gates last night and getting to sleep later due to getting home at 22:00 when I am usually asleep! I managed to drag myself out of bed at about 5:10 and do my weigh-in where I was surprised to see that I had dropped to 107.4 kgs this morning so a drop of 0.5 kgs again so pretty good going! I then went back to bed as I was a bit sore and decided a rest was probably a good idea this morning. This has made me think that I may be better off doing the gym on Tuesday and Friday mornings instead of my planned Tuesday and Thursday as I plan to continue going to Andover for gates on Wednesday nights as they are super chill and really good fun. The track is also really pedally so it really builds up leg speed and leg endurance too 🙂
I will do today’s Ruck at lunch time an walk up to the track and back to try and get my 12000 steps in early so that I can chill a bit tonight ready to get to bed early so I can get up and Ruck again bright and early tomorrow morning.
I also have to test out the timing system tonight after work to see how it works connecting the decoder and the laptop via a crossover cable instead of wifi so that we can keep the laptop in the container and leave the decoder by the bottom of the start hill. I plan to then test the timing system out at the track Friday afternoon so we can get it working ready for gates on Saturday if gates is on. I have put the transponder and laptop on to charge so they are fully charged when I use them tomorrow to make one less thing to go wrong. I will also upgrade the sqorz software later too.
While I remembered I put the transponder on the Curtis so its now ready for timed gates at the weekend and at Andover next week. I also need to get my other transponder back so it can go on the OS20 so I never forget a transponder again. I am just about to order another transponder cover as the one I have for the Curtis is really good and makes fitting and removing the transponder way better.
I think that the S&M bars for the OS20 will be here today before 12:20 so then I can get that built up and ready to go for Saturday. My friend has asked to try the Dialled 20″ to see how it feels as he is loving his Dialled Cruiser and is thinking of getting a Dialled 20″ and OS20 swapping it. So I said he can try it.
So the bars arrived just before lunch time so I put them on the bike at lunch time and I am super happy how they look amd feel so hopefully I will be able to ride the OS20 pain free now:
At lunch time I also got the Dialled fully built up ready to lend to my friend to test it out:
By 6 pm I was only on 1200 steps so I got on the treadmill and backwards treadmill until I had got just over 10000 steps then chilled while doing my on call. I finished the day with 10637 steps so below 12000 but over 10000 so all good 🙂
Last night I also bit the bullet and shelled out the £200 for a Mobius X8 Wrist Brace as it us supposed to be the best Motocross/ Bike wrist brace as it is fully adjustable and also palm free so it doesn’t interfere with the hand to grip interface unlike my current TroyLee brace that covers the palm and after a while it makes your palm go numb. So I decided to give the Mobius support a go instead to see if I can ride normally with the brace on. It it is as good as people say that it is then I should be riding virtually pain free once it arrives 🙂
