Rest day

As today was my rest day I woke up at 5am as normal and then chilled in bed on my phone for a while (found out I had sold my Octane One Zircus frame over night 🙂 ) and then at 7am I got up, did my weigh in (Back down to 106.0 kgs yay! ) then showered, got dressed and walked into the office!

By the time I got into the office I was on over 5000 steps and then after walking around the office and then walking home and working from home this afternoon I am now on 9787 steps so I will be well over 10000 steps by the end of my on call tonight 🙂

I have been feeling a bit achy today so I don’t want to do too much today as I am going to ruck to the office and back tomorrow and then ride at the track at lunch time as I have a half day gain tomorrow 🙂 I am planning to do sprints then 12 x 60m sprints then ride the track tomorrow so I want to be fresh for that 🙂

I am going to leave weight training until Friday as I need to tidy my bedroom again as my weight bench is impeded by the box from the Standard and a bunch of other stuff that I have slowly been dumping on and around the weight bench as there was space!

I am on half day tomorrow and have all of Wednesday off so I should have time to sort it by Friday 🙂 Friday and Monday are bank holidays so I will use the time off to start working out properly and get a set routine sorted and what weights to start using as well then I can hit the ground running Tuesday with my actual training!

I think with consistent weights and sprints I will lose weight AND get faster really quickly as I will be losing weight and strength and power at the same time so I should dramatically improve my power to weight ratio this way. Also sprints will get me spinning the 37×16 gearing like i did the 36×16 before as well as working my core and body position. I am going to get my sprint timers back as well so that I can start to push myself a bit during the sprint sessions and not just go through the motions.
