Rest day

So I decided laast night that I was going to watch a film after I had picked my son up at 22:00 so I decided to take a rest day today as I was a tad sore from the Gym yesterday and also really tired from not drinking Coca Cola yesterday! I figure that today will be worse than yesterday in terms of Coca Cola withdrawal as well as being sore from the gym so a chill day is in order!

I went to sleep just after modnight and woke up just after 10:30 so I had just over 10 hours sleep (10:10 hours sleep according to my fitbit!) which is a lot for me and shows that my body needed some rest!

As I am starting to remove fizzy drinks from my diet I have decided to have a complete diet re-fresh in July and move to a fully carniovor diet for 30 days starting from Pay day on the 15th July! I need a couple of weeks to clear out all the left over non meat based items in the fridge/freezer ready to get rid of them.

From tomorrow I am also going to start intermittent fasting so I will start to eat at 11 am and then finish eating by 7pm as I have found that to be the best solution for me as I exercise from 12-14:00 every day so need to eat by 11am to get some energy as I also work out in the morning too so by 10-11 I am really needing to eat!

I am guessing that this will change once I get into keitosis as I have copious ammounts of stored bodyfat to keep me going between meals 🙂

I figure getting used to intermittent fasting for a couple of weeks before I start the carnivore diet makes sense as I will not be changing everything at once!

This week I will try and start moving to a more consistant diet starting by having bacon and scrambled eggs every day at 11am as my first meal of the day and then eat again when I finish work about 4pm with a meal that uses up whats left over in the fridge and cupboards so that on the 15th I can but a shit ton of meat, eggs and butter and start the carnivor diet! I tried the carnovre diet before and I ate a lot of miced beef but as its fatty and messy and annoying to cook and repeats on me I hace decided for the first month at least to just eat eggs, steak and butter so I can simplify everything! My daily menu will be:

11am – steak and eggs

4pm – steak and butter

6pm – steak and butter (only if needed!)

That will be me until the 14th August and then I will see how I feel about the diet then!

I am hoping that going on this diet will help me to get rid of my addiction to fizzy drinks, sweets and crisps as well as cut out all the other ultra processed foods and junk food that I eat at the moment! A secondary reason to do it is to kick start fat loss and improve my body compositon as its currently about 30% fat and that needs to get down to as near to 10% as I can. I also hope that doing this diest for a bit will get rid of all the aches and pains that I have at the moment that are more than likely caused by inflamation caused by all the ultra processed food that I currently eat! Another thing will be getting me out of the habit of getting takeout from the apps instead of cooking real food!

Tomorrow morning first thing I will do a weigh in and then I will start tracking my weight daily again to see how it is affected going forwards!

Looking in the Kitchen I have a lot of rice, pasta, chicken soup and baked beans as well as potatoes, frozen chicken and a bit of bacon, some eggs and some sausages too so this week is mostly going to be Bacon and sausage and eggs for breakfast at 11am and then chicken and either rice, potatoes or pasta and chicken soup.
