Plans changed again

So this morning I was planning to go to the gym early but I was up late with my on call and I forgot to set my alarm from 7:30 to 5:00 when it went off yesterday! This meant that I woke up at 5:15 and then had to check the builds as there had been issues last night. By the time I had finished that it was too late to get to the gym so I am going to work until it gets light then I will go for a walk to make a bit of a dent on my 15000 steps for today! I will also walk more on the treadmill as well to get the steps in as early as possible.

This afternoon I am going to my parents house to do the cleaning while they are away so I will grab the ebike and mtb from their garage and drop off a couple of other bikes to the garage to clear space. I will start riding the mtb at lunch times from tomorrow to try and boot my fat burning and get the weight down faster! I plan to try and take it easy on the bike and just try and be in a fat burning zone instead of going flat out like I usually do which hasn’t been working so far! I am also going to use the bike rides to try and build an aerobic base over the winter to try and get fitter ready to try and get back into the BMX training after xmas.

I have been thinking about my plans for next year and as I am taking another year off from racing pretty much I will not start sprints until after xmas so I will keep going with the road rides at lunch time for the next few months at least to try and get as light as I can for the new year so I can get back to playing basketball as soon as I can! Once I start playing basketball every Sunday I think the weight should start to fall off as basketball burns a lot of calories.

Talking of calories, I really need to focus on my diet and cut out all fizzy drinks (Started this yesterday!) and get back on the Carnivore diet as well as my current diet and drinking fizzy drinks is really not working for me as I have put on 5kgs exactly from when I was at my lightest this year back in August when I was not drinking Fizzy drinks and was on the Carnivore diet!

I think if I make my weekly training all about getting fit, losing bodyfat and gaining lean muscle mass until and then ride BMX at the weekends for fun I think that I will get a lot more out of my training and reach my goal of starting to play basketball early next year too. I am hoping by the summer I will be in some kind of shape that I can start doing dome early morning basketball training sessions with court sprints etc to try and get lighter and fitter too once the mornings get lighter again but for now my goal is to get fit enough to play basketball on Sundays without getting injured like I have done in the past when I played overweight in the past!

My brother and Nephew are starting to get back into training again too so it will be fun to play with them as well when I get in shape!

For now until the end of December my weekly training will be:

Monday:

Rest day so just walking 15000 steps and 10 minutes backwards treadmill and riding to the office and back on the bike.

Tuesday

Am = Gym Legs

Lunchtime = Road Ride + 10 minutes backwards treadmill

PM = Walking to get to 15000 steps + Rollers on BMX

Wednesday

AM = Gym Upper body

Lunchtime = Road Ride + 10 minutes backwards treadmill

PM = Walking to get to 15000 steps + Gates at Andover

Thursday

Am = Gym Legs

Lunchtime = Road Ride + 10 minutes backwards treadmill

PM = Walking to get to 15000 steps + Rollers on BMX

Friday

AM = Gym Upper body

Lunchtime = Road Ride + 10 minutes backwards treadmill

PM = Walking to get to 15000 steps + Rollers on BMX

Saturday

AM = Walking

PM = Gates at Bath + Walking to get 15000 steps in

Sunday

AM = Track ride at another track

PM = Walking to get 15000 steps in

I have decided that Diet wise I will do a month just getting used to the carnivore diet again then when I am used to that I will bring in intermittent fasting again in conjunction with the carnivore diet and then maybe move to OMAD (One meal a day) after that!

I am just in the process of making 9 hard boiled eggs ready to start eating carnivore from now on. I figured making a bunch of hard boiled eggs will make it easier to stick to as I can eat them for breakfast and they are easily at hand if I get hungry too. My pan fits 9 eggs in it along the bottom so I have made 9 hard boiled eggs by putting them in the pan covering with water so that it i 1 inch above the highest point of the eggs, Bringing the water to boil then removing the pan from the heat and putting the lid on and leaving the eggs in the water for 8 minutes. The eggs are now in an ice bath for 10 minutes to stop them from cooking any further and also to make the shell easier to remove later. Once they are done I will put 6 in the fridge and eat 3 now for breakfast!

I am just looking at what people recommend to go with the eggs as on their own they will be a it boring and I think that I will get sick of them pretty easily pretty quickly but I guess only time will tell 🙂

The eggs were amazing but they weren’t as easy to de-shell as the video suggested but still they were really good so I can live with a bit of stress de-shelling them I guess 🙂

I have decided that I will also eat fruit as well this time to try and avoid the issues with piles that I had in August when I was on the Carnivore diet last as that was really unpleasant and really got in the way of exercising too 🙁
