This morning I swapped the forward 43t chain ring for a 42t AVIn Chain ring and put on a new KMC K1 narrow chin on as well. This afternoon I went up to the track and we did some riding and some gates and the gearing is now more or less perfect! I wasn’t riding too well as my legs were really sore from racing last night but apart from that I was riding better.
The lower gearing meant that I am now getting comparable speed to my Cruiser so I was able to cleanly manual both jumps on the 1st straight without much effort which was good. I almost jumped the tabletop as well without really trying so when I start to practice jumping I think that I will jump well on the OS20.
My new handle bars will not arrive until Monday so once they arrive I can start really training on the OS20 to get used to it more and more as time goes on.
I am going to go to a pump track with some friends tomorrow afternoon but until then I am going to rest up and have a Radox bath to try and get rid of the soreness in my legs.
I have also done almost 8000 steps today so much better than the rest of the week but still well below my 12500 target!
