The new ODI Vans lock on grips arrived at lunch time today (thank you Wiggle Plus!) so this afternoon I got the bike off of the wall and into the work stand and fitted the old Steel forks, Moved the brake lever to the left hand side and fitted the new grips and the cool down seat and post.
I decided not to bother swapping the cranks until the new ebay DXR’s arrive as it will mean that I have to swap the cranks twice if I put the DXR’s from the Yess onto this bike then put the ebay DXR’s onto this bike when they arrive at the end of the week! I have also decided that I am going to swap the brake out for DXR after all as this brake feels really bad. Apart from that the bike will be fine to ride for while I am broken and for the winter as well then before the start of the season I can start riding the Yess Cruiser and the Dialled MX20R with the Onyx hubs.
I am going to the gym tomorrow morning to get an hour in on the recumbent bike so I think I will try and ride the Inspyre Evo Pro XL to the gym as a test ride and see how it feels and also test out my wrist and shoulder to see if they can cope with the ride to the gym. If I can ride to the gym OK I may go to the track tomorrow and get my Jump bike back as it may be easier on my wrist and shoulder due to the front suspension. I would prefer to use the Inspyre Evo Pro XL for riding around on as it is way cheaper than the jump bike but if the suspension helps then I will have to use the Jump bike until I am healed up I guess!
I am not super impresses with the Inspyre steel forks so I may buy some newer forks to go on the bike later on but they will do for now. I don’t think that I really trust them on the track/ pump track so they will have to be swapped out at some point but deffo not for the Carbon Answer ones that came with the bike.
