To my surprise the Onyx Hub parts arrived today from the US and they didn’t get held hostage in the post office like they usually do which was a bonus!
This means that I can now get the rear onyx hub for my 20″ built up so I now only need to get a 44t chain ring, a brake set and some grips and I will have all the parts to build the 20″ up. I was going to get the frame sprayed but I think that I will leave it white for now to save some money and speed up the build.
I will get the axle swapped out over the weekend then look at getting a chain ring and other stuff next week.
I am taking the day off today as I am on call and have to go out for a meal after work so I will have to make up for this in the morning. I am planning to get up early and try and get into the gym and start working my legs out. I will then get to the track early to test out my leaf blower on the start hill to try and get it a bit grippier before gates in the early afternoon.
At gates I am going to do a more structured session of a warmup followed by one gate and 1st straight, a gate and 1st and second straight, gate and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd straights and then a gate and a full speed lap then rest a bit and do the same again. After that I will work on my manuals on the 3rd and 4th straights then play on the jump bike a bit to cool down.
