Impromptu weigh-in

Couch Potato

So I forgot to do my weigh-in Wednesday morning as I had to leave early to drive to London so I did my weigh in this morning as I am having a rest day as my legs hurt! I purposely didn’t set an alarm this morning but I still woke up at 6:30 ish anyway so I got up and did my weigh-in.

I was surprised to find that I am down from last weeks 107.2kgs to 106.9kgs BUT I am still heavier than I was on 11/05 (106.3kgs)

11/05/2023 106.3
17/05/2023 107.2
27/05/2023 106.9

Although I am heavier I can see that my body composition has changed a lot over the past month! My face has thinned out a lot, my stomach is shrinking, my legs and arms are more muscular and more defined and best of all my trousers which were a bit tight a month or so ago are now constantly falling down which shows that my waist and bum are shrinking (losing fat!)!

I have decided that on the 1st of every month I will take body measurements so that I can more accurately record my body transformation as weight is definitely not an accurate measure at the moment! I have bought a body tape measure from Amazon which will be here tomorrow and I will take measurements and create a google sheet to track my progress over time.

I have decided that Saturday will be my rest day for now so I will not do a road ride on Saturdays but I will walk at some point to try and walk the stiffness in my legs off. I will most likely use Sunday’s ride as a slow recovery ride too so that I am ready to ride hard on Monday mornings.

I am going to take the following measurements every month to track changes in body composition more accurately:

  • neck
  • Chest
  • waist (Using belly button as guide)
  • hips
  • biceps
  • forearm
  • thigh
  • calf

Tomorrow I am thinking that I may get my son up super early and head to Cheddar pump track for a play  before it gets busy and then maybe go back to Bath track to see if we have improved from the pump track then he can go back to bed 🙂 I have been wanting to go to Cheddar Pump track for ages but I have never got around to going so it would be good to check it out and see if its worth the 40 minutes to get there or not. I have been told that it is worth the trip so we will see.
