Got up and walked today

This morning when my alarm went off at 5 am I got up straight away and did my weigh-in and I was shocked to see that I was down to 106.3 kgs this morning from 107,1 kgs yesterdays so if this keeps up I should be getting my weight down pretty quickly now that I am back on the Carnivore diet and the weight keeps dropping like it did yesterday! I really suffered yesterday afternoon/ evening with Coca cola withdrawal and has a massive headache and had to take some paracetamol to get rid of! I know I am in for a few days like this but I know its just short term so I will take pain killers if needed and suffer if its not too bad. I know by the weekend I’ll be find then its just coping with the boredom of just drinking water that i will have to deal with!

Once I had done my weigh-in I showered and get dressed and then walked into the office to connect a USB hard drive to a server and then headed home again so by the time I got home I had already walked 6969 steps so just about half way to my 15000 steps and its not even 6:30 🙂

I am going to Andover for gates tonight so during the day i have to build up a cruiser for my friends son to borrow for the winter. I am lending him the Standard 125R Cruiser with the Halo freewheel wheels and I am using the 45mm Crupi Stem and my 5″  rise S&M Race bars on it to make it as small as possible for him as he is only 10 so a fair bit smaller than me.

At lunch time I plan to pop to the track and get used to the OS20 before I ride it at gates tonight.

WhatsApp Image 2024 10 30 at 06.48.25 Yesterday evening the Profile Elite Disk hub arrived for the Curtis so I will get that built up when I get a chance then the Curtis and the OS20 will have the same rear wheel and I will also get the StayStrong brake set for the Curtis as I was really pleased with how easy the setup was with the StayStrong Disk Brake kit and also both bikes have the same brake setup too.

So Source were having a 10% Halloween discount online so I took the £7.50 discount and bought the disk brake kit for the Curtis so I can get that up and running again. I have to go back to the 36 x 16 gearing as the frame doesn’t have clearance for anything else so I guess I have to get used to running that gearing on the track and make do 🙂 I have geared the OS20 to be basically the same gear ration so it should be basically the same out of the gate. The roll-out for both bikes are:

Curtis = 36 x 16 = 52.88

OS20 = 44 x 18 = 52.54

So the OS20 is slightly lower geared to the Curtis but that’s fine I think.

Once the brake arrives for the Curtis I will get it all built up and ride it with the Onyx Wheel until the Profile Elite wheel is built up as I really enjoy riding the Curtis way more than any of my other bikes so it makes sense to get it back running sooner rather than later although I am getting used to riding the OS20 now too so there is no real rush to get it working.

While i was waiting for something to load I swapped the blue Crupi i-beam stem for a black StayStrong stem that I bought for my Son’s bike and I am much happier at the way the bike looks now!

The bike all blends together now so much happier with it than I was before!

So I went to Andover for gates tonight and it was really fun but I hurt my wrist as I forgot my wrist guard at home. I have decided to get some S&M bars as the flat bars put too much pressure on my wrist. Other than that the bike rode really well so I am happy with the Standard build although I can’t wait to get back on the Curtis once the brake is sorted.
