This morning although I was on call last night I managed to get up at 5am and did my morning triage stuff for work then had a shower and went for a walk at 6am. I did my short route as I really needed the toilet so had to rush home 🙂
Its now 6:45 and I am on 4357 steps so well on the way to 10000 steps! I have decided that I really need to focus on getting my steps in every day as I feel loads better when I am walking!
I was amazed how just doing 1 weights session has already made my knee loads better so I think after a couple of months I should be able to go back to 175 mm cranks on the BMX and be able to do gates pain free too!
I have decided to get my Standard back from my friends daughter so that I can train on the Standard and do gates sessions on the Curtis for now! I will also use the Standard on the pump track for now to just ride 24″ BMX for now to get used to it again! The Standard is set up with 24 x 1.75 tyres all around so it should ride well on the pump track as well as have a bit more cushioning on the track too although I may put on a 24 x 2.10 on the front to add more cushioning for my wrists while I am trying to learn to jump. I am still deciding what to do with the Cult 20″ as I like it but I will be building up the Standard OS20 frame soon so I will not need it any more as anything I would use the Cult for I will be using the OS20 for! Plus the OS20 has a disk brake so its less hassle than the v brake too!
I will also use the Standard as my ride to work and sprints bike when I start doing them again so I am going to get the GT Power Series back together and then get that up for sale too as I haven’t used it in months so its just taking up space. Thinking about it I may get it cleaned and polished and stick it on the wall as for some reason I have a soft spot for it and its not worth much so I may as well use it as wall art!
I am at the track at lunch time and then going to my parents house to do the cleaning and hoovering so I should be able to get my 10000 steps in easily today 🙂
