first Test Drive of the Dialled MX20R

So yesterday afternoon I rode  the Dialled MX20R into work as I had to meet some friends at one of the city centre bars as it was my friends leaving do. I rode the Dialled along the river and it felt really good and kind of like home which is expected as I have had 4 of these bikes and I have owned this one twice now 🙂 I can’t really remember the ride home as I was a tad tipsy but I got home without issues so it was all good and i had a smile on my face too so it was all good 🙂

This morning I woke up at 5 am without an alarm then led in bed until 5:30 then got up and did my weigh-in (104.7 kgs) and then showered and got dressed and walked into the office and did some work until 7ish then walked home again. I am not feeling 100% but I am feeling a lot better than I should be with less than 5 hours sleep but I am expecting to feel worse as the day goes on so on call tonight is going to be fun 🙁

I am planning to take the Dialled to the track at lunch time and give it a test on the track which I think will be fine as I have ridden it before just not in this setup but I know the bikes feel good anyway 🙂

So lunch time I loaded the Dialled on the car and went to the track and had a play on it. My knee was a bit sore as I hyper-extended it walking home this morning and I forgot to put my knee brace on  when I got my BMX kit on. I really enjoyed riding the Dialled again but its back end feels really long so although it manuals really well on the 1st jump on the first straight I struggled on the rest of the track! I will get a 1/2 link chain and slam the back wheel as far forward as I can to see how that works but I am thinking that I will use the Standard OS20 more than I will the 20″ and I will use the Dialled and S&M for riding around and for pump tracks.

Until the Profile Elite Hub us built up for my Curtis I will mostly ride the Standard 125R with the Profile Mini wheels as the Profile Elites need the bearings changed and as service and the new sprag and paw kit fitted so I have ordered a new set of bearings and I will then get the rear hub fully serviced and then stick the wheels back on the Standard and use them until I get the Curtis sorted. I am really missing riding the Curtis and can’t wait for it to be built up with the Profile Elite rear wheel so I can just forget about it and ride it for the winter! Looking online the Profile Elite hub still hasn’t been posted so I am just chasing up what is going on with the hub.

I have just unfrozen my gym so starting Monday first thing I will be walking to the gym and getting my first leg workout in before walking home and then having a shower and getting changed before riding back into the office again! I have left the Dialled in the back of the container at the track so I will ride the Standard 24″ for now to the office as it is my only working bike at the moment.
