First Ruck for a while

This morning  I woke up at 4:30 without an alarm so chilled for 30 minutes then got up and did my weigh-in and found I was even heavier than yesterday 🙁 (up from 107.3 kgs to 107.8 kgs!) so I decided to show and get dressed and then go out for a ruck! I decided that going up was a good idea which in hind sight it was, but it was a real struggle getting up the hill with the 150 kg weight vest on was a real struggle especially as I am 5kgs heavier than I have been the past month or so! This means that I was basically carrying an extra 15kgs up the hill for 1 mile! To make it even harder coming down again was even harder with tired wobbly legs 🙂

I feel really good now so I think it was worth it 🙂

WhatsApp Image 2024 10 15 at 06.59.43I waked 2.7 miles in 51 minutes and gained 343 ft so basically 105 meters which is all at the start of the walk and is exactly 1 mile! The rest of the walk is basically dragging my arse home the long way around! I will try and do this every morning from now on to try and get fit faster as I am basically carrying 118 kgs up the hill at the moment which explains why I am wheezing and coughing like i have never walked before !

I have to get to my parents house straight after finishing work as they have to take my auntie to the hospital this afternoon so I am doggy sitting as well as cleaning this afternoon. This means that I can’t go ride bikes today but I may be able to swing past and grab my new wheels from my friend on the way home tonight so I could get the OS20 built when I get home if I can.

Weirdly having walked this morning I have been standing up and working for most of the morning as I didn’t feel like sitting down which is new 🙂 Hopefully this will continue as its better for me and burns more calories too 🙂
