This morning I woke up feeling much better and did a weigh in and I am back down to 104.9kgs down from 105.7kgs last week so I have lost about 1kgs this week! I am still 1kgs heavier than before I was Ill but still my weight is moving in the right direction!
I am super glad that I went for a light ride yesterday with my friend along the Bath-Bristol cycle path to Keynsham and back yesterday. We took it really easy and rode 17 miles in 1hr 24 minutes so it was a really light session but I felt loads better afterwards and I am way less congested this morning and I am breathing way better 🙂
I also received the all clear from my PCR test so I am able to go to sprints on Tuesday night this week which will be helpful in both the weight loss and making me feel like I haven’t totally wasted the last month 🙁
I have decided that when I get paid on the 15th I will buy a years membership of the gym and then start working on my bum knee for a month before moving to lifting free weights and building leg strength. For December and January I will do 2 leg sessions a week that will focus on legs and core then when I am a bit more used to going to the gym I will add another 2 days of upper body to start working the whole body.
As the first rounds of the National series are on the 12th and 13th of March I only have 3 months to try and get in some kind of shape which is a good amount of time but not very long really. Because of this I am going to start adding a couple of road bike sessions in now to help with base fitness and weight loss.
This week and next week I will only do my usual Tuesday night sprints session and the rest of the time I will try and fit in road rides and bike skill sessions as I think they will be more beneficial at the moment and will stress my body less than adding more sprint sessions to the mix at the moment. Hopefully by the end of the year. I will have built up to 2 sprint sessions, 2 gym sessions and 2 road bike sessions a week plus training and gates on Saturdays and racing/ gates on Wednesdays so I will have built up to a full training week.
