Feeling good this morning

I woke up at 4:55 without an alarm this morning and felt really fresh and relaxed and pretty good to be honest for the first time in a while. I would say I am back to about 90% healthy again which is good! I’m not sure its the extra sleep I got last night or the BMX track session blew away the cobwebs but I am feeling good for it 🙂

I then got up and did my weigh-in and I was 108.9 kgs again this morning so the same weight as yesterday so no weight loss but no weight gain either so it could be worse! I am feeling my abs, arms, shoulders and legs this morning so I am guessing I put on a fair bit of muscle from the training yesterday!

I wasn’t able to go to the gym this morning as I am waiting on my shopping to be delivered between 6:00 and 7:00 so hopefully that arrives soon otherwise my day will be all messed up!

My new Jacket arrived yesterday so I will be super safe when riding around in the dark now as the jacket is a grey reflective one so when light hits it it glows up white as it reflects the light. I also bought a better front light for the bike too so I can see where I am going if its dark as the one I have is just one of the little rubber led ones that shows people you are there but not much else! Its also been turning off when I hit pot holes etc so not much use at all!

I got a notification that the 1/2 link chains will arrive tomorrow so I will be able to get the StayStrong working for the weekend which will be nice as I need to start practising jumping asap! The new step up put of the 1st berm is perfect to learn on and I got way more comfortable jumping yesterday already so a couple of weeks of jumping that I hope to be comfortable enough to jump some of the other jumps on the track.

I was watching how the decent riders train yesterday and once I can jump a few more jumps I will start doing that too to try and get faster and smoother over the whole track. Basically the training involves starting off pedalling to the first jump then carrying speed over the rest of the track then build up to pedalling more after that.

I got up the track about 12:15 as traffic was crazy for a change. I took the BlackMarket and tested it out and it rode really well and it was fun to ride so I will ride that for a while to get used to jumping although I am excited to ride the StayStrong Cruiser with the fat tyres too as I think that that will be even more fun as it will ride more like a Cruiser so it will feel better for me I think!

I didn’t ride as much as yesterday as the guys from Velosolutions were there painting the lines on the 3rd berm so we had to just ride 1st and second straights and wade through the mud to get to the start hill again! I left the BlackMarket in the container so I can ride the ebike to the track and cut out the traffic from now on! By the time I was back home I was only on 8000 steps as I hadn’t walked between buildings too much today and had obviously done less at the track today too so I am just walking on the treadmill to try and get to 12000 steps as quickly as possible to get it done!

Its currently 19:25 and I have just finished my 10 minutes backwards walking and I am now on the treadmill getting the last 3000 steps in as I forgot to put my fitbit in my sock so it didn’t count any of the backwards walking or the last 10 minutes of walking on the treadmill towards my 12000 steps 🙁

I’ve had a bad stomach this evening so I am feeling a bit weak but I will power through and get to 12000 steps and then head to bed to hopefully feel better by morning. I managed to get to 12000 steps by 20:00 then went to bed to sleep the bug off
