So I woke up at 5 am with my alarm feeling a bit meh still but I got up and did my weigh in and I am 0.1 kgs heavier again today 🙁 So I am now 103.5 kgs! I then went and did some work then had a shower and headed to the office about 6am! I made the mistake of going along the river as I only had my little lights and it was a lot darker than I thought! Especially along the river as it has a lot of trees covering the path etc 🙁 I managed to get to work unscathed and not really noticing that I had ridden to work which was odd but nice 🙂 I then did about 30 minutes work and headed home and again I realised that it was feeling really easy! Even the hill up to home wasn’t that bad this morning when some times I get so knackered that my teeth start to pulse!! It could be because the Standard is a really nice, well setup high spec bike compared to my normal ride to work bikes or it could also be that my body is finally realising that it trains a lot and is supposed to get fitter! Or it could just be that I am really rested from being in bed for basically a week 🙂 I guess we will find out the next time I ride to the office 🙂
This morning the 18t Crupi cog arrived for the Curtis so I fitted it and the chain so that is now ready to go once I dial in the new Avid BB7 caliper and wait for the cable ties to arrive to hold the new brake cable tight and also I need to swap the bars over from the Standard to the the Curtis too.
The 41 x 18 gearing aligns way better with the chain than the 36 x 16 did so the back wheel sits in pretty much the perfect position now 🙂 Once the bars have been swapped I am not messing with the Curtis again and will just ride it and enjoy it!
The chain for the freestyle bike arrived today too but I will wait until the wheels arrive to fit that. I don’t have any deliveries scheduled for today so I will do my garden and then go to the track for a bit to get some of the rust out of the legs and then I will clean the flat a bit then chill for the rest of the day! Its looking like most of my stuff that I am waiting on will not arrive this week so most of my projects are stalled until the parts arrive!
