Woke up at 5:30 as planned then took a while to get up and ready so I got to the sprint spot for 7am.
I managed to forget my cones and sprint stand in my rush to get out the door 🙂
Luckily I had my foldable stool with me which I used before I bought the sprint stand so I was able to use that to start on and my vans as cones for each distance that I needed to sprint too.
All was going well until I got to doing 100m sprints and in the time it took me to do 3 sprints 2 different dog walkers decided to totally ignore the fact that I was there and maybe the shoes were mine and move them!!!! The second lady mush have still been asleep as she walked right past me as I was on the block waiting for her and her dog to pass and then walked into the area that I was using for sprints and proceeded to walked down the whole length of the car park where I was going to sprint and then decided to pick up my shoes as well!!!!! Nothing like being totally oblivious to everyone and everything around you!!!
I managed to do all 9 sprints today and this was the first time in years that I have done 100m sprints and they felt hard but not as hard as I remembered them being! I did get a bit of blurred vision and a bit dizzy after the last of the 3 100m sprints so I guess that my head isn’t totally fine still!
I am not 100% sure if I have a concussion OR I am just getting side effects from stopping drinking Coca Cola again as I went cold Turkey on Wednesday as I had the 4 day weekend to detox before work again on Monday. I am hoping that the dizziness and blurred vision is to do with Coca Cola withdrawal not a concussion but we will see in a week or so as the withdrawal usually goes away after about a week so fingers crossed its only withdrawal as I really can’t be doing with another concussion at this point in the season and the run-up to the Worlds!
