Did some gates

Bristol Gate

This morning I had to get up at 3:30 and drive my Son and ex wife to the airport as they were off on an easter holiday. I got home about 5:30 and then slept for a few hours and then got up and made some toast for breakfast and bumbled about the house until it was time to get ready for gates.

I got to the track about 12:45 and setup the gate ready for gates to start about 13:00. I then pressed the button for a while and then did some gates and I was feeling a bit better on the gate with the DMR and I was definitely on pace out of the gate but my 3rd to 6th pedal was way off pace! I’m not sure if its because the geo of the DMR is slightly off for sprinting, I’m not used to the big wheels or I’m just out of shape from not riding for 8 months but I will defiantly need to get some sprints done to get ready for the race next Sunday!

My body is also a little sore from riding on Thursday night even though I took Friday off other than walking so I most definitely had a good workout at training and made some gains.

I probably got 8-10 gates in but backed off after the first jump as I didn’t want to over do it and my shoulder was feeling a little sore still so I didn’t want to hurt it at all!

I got home from the track about 17:30, got some food and then had a shower and watched a film before doing some chores around the house before going to bed about 10 pm as I needed some sleep as I have a busy day ahead tomorrow as a bunch of the club members are going to Bristol to practice on the track there ready for the regional next weekend and then hit up a pump track or 2 on the way home.

I am definitely going to get my Yess Cruiser built up to test out to see if I can ride it and maybe race it next weekend!
