Chase RST 2.0 OS20 Conversion Bike Check

chase

I finished building up my Chase RST 2.0 OS20 Conversion this afternoon (16/08/2023) after buying it off of Ebay on 11/07/2023. The only origional parts that came with the bike are the frame, bottom bracket, Cranks and the Hubs (although the rear hub had a new driver and sprag and pulls installed).

The build is as follows:

Frame – Chase RST 2.0 Pro XXL+ race Frame

Forks – Elevn v2 7.0 LT OS20 Forks

Stem – Profile Acoustic Stem – 1 1/8 Inch

Bars – StayStrong Chevron Straight Race Bars – 8.5″ with ODI Vans Lock-on Grips

Wheels – Profile mini Hubs with 17t Profile sprocket on Excess XLC OS20 Rims with Halo Spokes and Tioga Powerblock OS20 x 1.85 Tyres and Tioga OS20 Tubes and Rim Tape

Cranks – Shimano DXR 175mm Cranks, Forward Joyride V2 4 Bolt 43T Chain Ring, Avian Chromoly Chainring Bolts with Shimano Bottom Bracket and Pedaling Innovations Catalyst Pedals.

Chain – KMC K1 Narrow Chain, Silver 100 Link

Brakes – Shimano BR-MX70 DXR V-Brake, Shimano BL-MX70 DXR L hand Brake Lever with Shimano Cable and Box Two Brake Post Extenders

Seat – Pride Race Spirit Pivotal Seat, Gusset Pivotal 330mm 27.2mm Seatpost and Box One Quick Release Seat Clamp

Valve Caps – Lucky 8 ball Valve Caps

This bike is basically a proof of concept while I wait for my Standard 125R OS20 disk frame to arrive. It should be ready around xmas time. I will move all of the parts except the Wheels, bottom bracket, headset, brake and chain over to the new bike so it should feel pretty much the same or better once it is built up. I can then sell the Chase frame and the wheels to recoup some of the expense of the Standard Frame.

Once I have ridden the Standard Frame I and I like it I will get Gary to Build up an OS20 Frame for me then I can build it up to race on and use the Standard as my training bike. Then I will have the Curtis RaceLite 24″ Cruiser to race Cruiser on and a Curtis RaceLite OS20 to race 20″ on. Plus the Standard 125R as my training/winter/Pump Track bike going forwards. Although I may well sell the Standard once the Curtis is ready and use my Curtis OS20 as my Training/ Winter/ Pump Track bike and keep the Cruiser to just race on. Not sure yet we will see when the time comes.
