I have had a busy week so far. I have been consistent with my getting up at 5:30 in the morning and walking first thing and I have done this every day this week without fail which is good. I haven’t always done 10000 steps but I have done at least 5000 steps every day this week but I did average 9666.6 steps a day this week so not far off of the 10000 steps!:

Wednesday afternoon I was on a half day so I went to the track and rode for about an hour or so as well as the walking and my shoulder felt good but I am still feeling rusty on the bike and it was super windy so I didn’t ride as much as I would have liked. I was also riding the dialled and I found that I really didn’t like riding it so I went home and re-threaded the bottom bracket and built up the Yess to ride at coaching on Thursday night!
Thursday night didn’t go a well a I would have liked as I put the bars on the Yess too low, put on a 37×16 gearing to try it out and I couldn’t get on with it. I also had to cut the chain and then found out that I only had 1 1/8 quick fit pins for the chain so the pin was sticking out which was playing on my mind. I was also feeling battered from the crazy week that I had had at work so all in all not the best night. I did get my DXR cranks back from my friend so that I could get them onto the Yess to see if it felt better for gates on Friday.
On Friday I out a spacer under the stem on the Yess to put the bars back to how I have always ridden them and then swapped the DXR’s onto it. I left the 37t chain ring on it as I didn’t have another quick fit pin to cut the chain again! I will have to make do with the gearing until the new 3/32 quick fit pins that I ordered arrive next week. I liked the way that the bike rode much better last night (Friday) for gates but I was really off of the pace gate wise so I think that I need to drop back to 36×16 when I can. Also my Curtis frame that I am waiting on only works with a 36×16 so I need to get used to it for then anyway! With the bars with a small spacer under them the bike rides normally again and I was manualling again last night which I couldn’t do at all on Thursday night!
Today is track work day ready for the regional next weekend so I am not sure that I will get any riding in today but I am not going to mess with the bike until the new chain pin comes to make sure that I am able to ride the bike at least! I will definitely get a ride in on Sunday morning as I need to practice everything this week so that I don’t look like a complete idiot when I race.
Next week I am going to practice one straight at a time starting with the 3rd straight as I am really cautious on it still which is understandable as its the straight that I crashed on which took me out for 8 months! Getting the 3rd straight right also makes completing a lap much easier as if you get it right you carry so much speed without expending too much energy. It is also a really good straight to practice manuals so it makes sense as my manuals are really poor at the moment too. It is also a really good jumping straight so I can practice my jumping too. I will then work on the 2nd straight then the 2nd and then on Friday I am off so I will do some full laps to get ready to race on Sunday. I will most likely have a bit if a rest day on Saturday so that I am rested for racing but I may do gates as well.
I have just bought another bottom bracket so that I can test out my Supercross Frame as well to see which one I like the best before deciding which bike I should keep and which one I should get rid of!
